Normal POV:

Back to the Rivera and Velez families:

Both Dead and living Rivera and Velez families went inside the room, wondering why these two well alive children are here. The small Clerk who let them inside his office was looking over papers and reading them, his chair facing the family. His office was filled with numerosas pilas de papeles in every single corner or pushed against a well, along with a large stack on his desk. On his desk, was a Lámpara de escritorio verde, a small plate of pan dulces, galletas de azúcar, and aTres Leches Pastel, and a calculator from the old days, somewhere around the 1800's. Soon the chair turned around, showing the short skeleton and had his reading glasses on. "Well, you two are cursed!" He announced to both kids who are standing in front of his desk. Everyone on each side of the family gasps in horror, mostly the Velez family.

"What?!" Miguel said in shock while Camila was in shock, she didn't have any words about this, until she snapped out of it and looked at Miguel worriedly. "How did this happen?" She asked softly and gently messed with the ends of her cardigan.

The clerk quickly got on top of his desk and scanned over the pile and reached the very top of it and grabbed a paper. "Día de los Muertos is a night to GIVE to the dead. You two STOLE from the dead!" He explained to them. "I didn't steal the guitar, he did!" Camila snitched on her friend ant pointed at him, while the said boy looked at her in shock and glared at her gently. "I wasn't stealing the guitar, I was only borrowing it for the night!" He reasoned and corrected his friend.

"Guitar..?" Imelda looked at her grandson with a shocked and confused face. While María and Camila's parents were next to her. "We know you wouldn't do such a thing, Mija. We believe you." Her mother reassured her. Camila looked at her parents and Great Great Grandmother and smiled softly. "Gracias." She said softly. "It's Ernesto De la Cruz's guitar, but it truly belongs to my Great-Great  grandfather's! He would have wanted me to have it—" He tried to explain but Imelda interrupted him. "Ah-ah-ah! We do not speak of that..." She pauses and glared at María who in return had a sad face at first but glared softly at her in return. " That...musician! He is DEAD to this family!" She finally finished, disgust in her tone when she said the word "musician" and turned the other way with her arms crossed.

Miguel and Camila looked at one another with slight confusion and Miguel looked back at his Mamá Imelda. "Uh, But you're all dead." He said with slight confusion in his tone. "That may be true, niño... But even after death, there are some people who will never change." María explained and gently pulled her Great-Great Granddaughter close to her and frowned deeply at Imelda. There was an awkward silence, leaving both living children full of confusion and looked at each other, but didn't know what to say to one another, however they both knew that something was up.

While the room was swarmed with the Silencio incómodo, no one noticed the dos animales got close to the desk and sniffing the food. Dante was  balancing his paws on the table and his head on the desk while Hermosa was literally on the desk, were sniffing it and soon both licked the pan dulces with large and thick tongue and her small and thin one. Soon the Clerk started sneezing and finally noticed the two animals on his desk, he remained calm while sniffling. "I am sorry, but whose alebrijes belong to which child?" He asked the children in front of them, waiting for an answer from both kids. Miguel steps up and pulls Dante away from the treats, while Camila gently grabbed Hermosa and the snake slithered back to her former pose, her body being coiled around her human's arm and her head next to Camilas. "Hermosa is my friend, she looks after me back at home... But I'm not so sure if she's a alebrije." She replied and gently petted her friends head. "And this is just Dante." Miguel stated as he was holding the Xoloitzcuintli. "They sure don't look like any of the alebrijes outside." Tía Rosita said as she gestures to the fantastical creatures fluttering on the other side of the window. "Hermosa just looks like a plain old snake." Elora said to her husband and the others. "And that one just looks like a plain old dog." Felipe said "Or a sausage someone dropped in a barber shop!" Oscar added and the Rivera family laughed softly at that.
