Chapter 25: The Final Showdown

3rd Person POV:

Both families were on their way to Ceci's studio to get more costumes to sneak into the Sunrise Spectacular. Some were riding on the trolley while Imelda, and Camila were riding on their alebrijes with some passengers, which included Miguel was with Imelda and Felípe, Rosita and Bella were riding with Camila, who were curled around and held on tightly to Hermosa so they wouldn't fall while the others were told to stay and go to the performance itself so they wouldn't feel all left out.

The plan seemed to be very simple enough.

All they had to do was ask Frida herself if they could interfere Ernesto's performance while hers was still going on. If she said yes, then they would all have to dress up Frida Kahlo, just like her dancers would. Then they would sneak out, find De la Cruz, get the photo back from him, and send both kids home.

Once they arrived at where the studio was, they found Frida and asked her, while Rosita and Bella were squealing softly while hugging one another. Turns out Frida was surprisingly accommodating when they came to her proposing that she used less dancers for her performance so they could sneak into the Sunrise Spectacular and, more or less, ruin De la Cruz's day.

In fact, she had been entusiasta about ruining De la Cruz's day part, which was more than enough for them to be glad that she would agree to it more.

Ceci was comprensiblemente furioso when Héctor returned without the costume and instead came with the news that they would need 18 more. Frida had been a good buffer though to convince her to go along with it, though none of them didn't really doubt that she wouldn't have agreed to the end. Although, only Héctor barely caught Ceci's mumble of: "She drives me crazier than you sometimes..." As they all ran off to get dressed and head to the show.... Without getting an autograph from the said woman by her two adoring fans.

Getting Frida's approval? Check!

While this was going on, Pepita and Hermosa has stay behind and fly in the skies to keep an eye on things; while Dante, Toro, Alba, Alm, Bonita and Querida easily went along with the others just in case. They hid in or underneath each of their humans, all except the Xolo dog who was with Tío Felipe. Soon all of the family members got into the giant papaya with the rest of the dancers and the apoyo gigante was put on the stage.

Sneaking into the Show? ¡Comprobar!

That was when the show began, while everyone was distracted by the fire that was shown on the screen and the dancers came out to dance, the family sneaking out of the prop to head off stage without being seen and they all passed by Frida who smiled at all of them and looked at the two living children. "Good luck, Muchachos!" She said with a smirk on her face. "¡Gracias, Frida!" Both children thanked as they caught up with their families and soon everyone was off stage and all alone with one another.

Soon, they were all taking off the costumes, but for Héctor, it was very easy since he has worn the costume so many times before then. While some others were taking off the costumes, the alebrijes came out from their hiding spots. Dante was hiding inside Tío Felipe's back, Toro was hiding in the same place except it was with Carlos, Alba and Alma were hiding underneath the wigs that Rosita and Bella were wearing, little Querida was hiding in the same place, only it was underneath Mariana's head, and finally Bonita was hiding in Felípe's chest and poked her head out and squawked softly and flew out.
