Man, those stupid vomiting episodes were back again. It was getting really annoying whenever I ate dinner that I would wake up with the most horrible puking sessions in the galaxy. Mom made porkchops that were super delicious but they are not delicious coming back up. I think I vomited for about two hours off and on and the sad part about it is that it's happened so often since I've been back that Mom woke up and asked if I was okay, I said I was fine, and she went back to bed and I was okay with that. Like... I was okay that she was leaving me to this misery!

I finally got back to bed at about 6:00 in the morning and slept in until I felt someone touch my shoulder.

******************************

"Hey, wake up..."

I moaned a little and opened my eyes, seeing Dad look at me.

"What is it?"

"Someone's here for your assignments."

"Huh?"

"Seems the principal approved our proposal and someone is here to give you your work. Want me to send them up?"

"Sure, I guess..."

He nodded and I rolled over carefully, still feeling queasy from before. I move the blanket around so that I don't look like a complete freak and wait to see who is bringing me my stuff. A few minutes later a small knock sounds on the door and I say to come in. The door opened and I am surprised to see one my of former best friends walk in.

"Mars..."

"Hey..." he said, looking around the room awkwardly as he sat down the chair Mom had brought in before she left for work. I believe her words were, 'in case they want to sit and talk'. Yeah, like they'd want to talk to me. "H-How's it going?"

"I'm okay, I guess. What did you bring me?"

"Uh, history, science and I forgot the last one... How's it been?"

"You already asked that. You can just drop off the assignments on the dresser and go. It's not obligatory to stay." I say, motioning to the dresser and the door at the same time. "Thanks for stopping by."

Mars looked around for a moment but he didn't leave. I frown and put my hand over my belly under the big comforter.

"You waiting for something?"

"My friend. They said he was back but I guess not." he said with a glare.

I glared back at him. "Oh, you want to play some sort of game where I'm not normal. Guess fucking-what, genius, I'm not anymore. It's not a friggin secret about what's happened to me, so cut the bullshit, will ya? If I was so fucking important to you, then you would have come to see me in the hospital. All you want to do is get a load of the freak of nature that used to be your friend and then brag about to other people. 'I got to see the freak yesterday and man was he disgusting'" I mocked.

I don't think I've gotten mad since I've gotten back on Earth and although I think it might be a mix of hormones, the anger in me is just swelling like a balloon. Just remembering when I was in the hospital and wondering why none of my friends were coming to visit or why anyone at all wasn't coming just made me angry. I didn't ask for this and I didn't want this!

"I didn't come because I wanted to see you... I mean... I did but not the way you think."

"Don't tell me that you're coming for an actual visit, are you?" I growled.

"Is that wrong?" Mars challenged, his blue eyes narrowed.

"Considering that while I was laid up in the hospital and all alone, I didn't see you try to come and see me."
