"Yeah."

"Why did you throw away your test? You could have used it as an example, and instead fix some of your mistakes and retake the test."
"It's fine. I'm not retaking the test."
"Why?"
"Because I've decided that I'm giving up on math."
"Why?"
"It's too hard. I try to understand it, and every time I study for the test. I end up getting it back as an F, D and sometimes even an F-."
"How is an F- possible?"
"I don't know. I'm just giving up trying. What's the point in trying when I can't at all get a good grade?"
