Mason's POV

I made everything in my life to become normal.  The past weeks was hell but I made sure that I will function normally in front of my boss and my other agents. I tried to forget everything about her. I ignored her calls even if she keeps on calling on my service phone. I ignored her messages even if I received a hundreds of messages. I'll treat her as any other mission that I did in the past. I will never look back. Para sa kanya na rin iyon at para mas madali ko na lang siyang makalimutan.

The agency is been going through some rough times. We have a problem with a previous case, Dale is in coma because his mission just went south. Fucking mission it almost killed him. Ferdie is transferred to US because he beat some guy that is a son of an influential politician. Si JD na lang ang tumutulong sa akin para maayos ang problema sa case ni Jaime Salazar.

Tumingin ako sa pinto ng maramdaman kong parang may tao doon.

"Sir," napatayo ako ng makita kong naroon si Jesus Dimalanta.

"Sit down," sabi niya at tuloy - tuloy na pumasok sa loob. "How's Dale?"

"Still unconscious but I know he can survive it." Napailing ako ng maalala ko ang nangyari sa kanya. Maka - survive man si Dale sa nangyari sa kanya, sigurado naman akong sobrang maaapektuhan siya ng nangyari.

"How bad is he?" Halatang nag - aalala din si Jesus.

"Several gun shot wounds, broken ribs, broken legs. He was beaten like a pulp and left for dead. Suwerte na lang talaga at dumating kami sa oras."

"How about the Senator's daughter?"

"She is fine, Sir." Hindi na ako nag - elaborate dahil ayokong may iba pang makaalam ng talagang nangyari sa mission ni Dale. What happened in Puerto Galera will really affect his life forever.

Napatango - tango si Jesus. "Ferdie's flight would be today. Ayoko ng magkaroon ng issue sa batang iyon. He is so hard headed. Maybe he really needs some time off. Our agents in US can train him well."

"I think that is a good call too, Sir." Sagot ko at muling itinuon ang atensiyon sa mga papel sa harap ko.

"I'll be stepping down, Mason."

Napahinto ako sa ginagawa ko at tumingin kay Jesus. This is the first time that he calls me by my first name. He is really serious.

"Stepping down? Sir what are you talking about?"

"I'll be going back to my family."

Napaubo ako sa sinabi niya pero pinilit kong maging kalmado.

"Tatanggapin ko lahat ng panunumbat na gagawin ni Alice sa akin. Tatanggapin ko ang galit ni Andie. I just want my family to be whole again."

Napipilitan akong ngumiti sa kanya.

"You deserve to be happy Sir. After all you sacrificed for this agency, it's about time for your happiness too. It's not too late. I know your family will take you back," pinilit kong magpaka - normal ang boses ko.

Ngumiti siya sa akin.

"I processed your papers and sent it to the board. I told them good reviews about your work. You handle this agency very well Agent Gonzalez."

Kumunot ang noo ko sa kanya. Ano ang sinasabi ni Dimalanta?

"Formality na lang ang pagbibigay ko ng report sa board about your work pero on going na ang transfer mo as the new Operations Manager for Office of Special Projects." Halatang tinatantiya ni Jesus ang reaksyon ko.
