Gustave was sitting on my lap. He was telling me about his trip here with Raoul.

"The horses that pulled the carriage were so large Father!

Oh really?

Yes! They were the biggest I'd ever seen! So beautiful. Big black horses. And the coachmen was very polite. He let me sit up front with him and hold the reins!

That does sound fun.

Erik, Gustave she's all fixed. You can bring her home. Would you like us to send a nurse to check on her in a day or two?
No, I'll come in if something happens.

Alright. It was nice meeting all of you."

He shook Gustave's hand then mine. I scooped up Christine in my arms.

"We have a wheelchair for you to carry her out into the carriage in.

Ah, I see."

The nurse rolled the chair in front of me and I placed her in it. I grabbed the handles of the chair and wheeled her to the exit. There was a carriage waiting for us. Gustave climbed in first. I scooped Christine from the chair and climbed in with her. She was sprawled across my lap. Her breathing was getting stronger. I could see her chest rise and fall.

"Father, when is mother going to wake up? I don't know Gustave. Probably tomorrow. We should all get some sleep.

Alright."
