       "Clumsy Me"

        by Summer Cheng

       Clumsy me,

        I  get out of bed,

      and bump my knee,

      on the side,

     no matter how much,

      I try to hide it,

     I am a bit,

    of  an accident prone,

    person.

    Clumsy me,

    I   get dressed,

    and bump my elbow,

    on the drawer,

   to   my dresser,

   as I brush my hair,

I  bump my ear on the door,

   so there,

    all you who stare:

     I am very clumsy indeed.

    Clumsy me,

   I  go for a walk,

   and my back aches,

    I ride my scooter,

and I have to duck under a tree,

    otherwise I come crashing off,

     onto the ground,

     rather anyone else is around,

      or  not.

      Clumsy me,

I go to sit in my chair,

I bump into the sewing table,

     along the way,

      what more can I say?

Today, I  hope it will be different,

       for once,

I would like to be able,

       to breathe,

      to walk,

    to talk,

    and to eat,

     without getting hurt,

    or falling in the dirt.

    Clumsy me,

Why am I such a clutz?

     I truly am a mess,

    above the rest,

    as  I try to relax,

    without stubbing my toe,

     as you well know,

      is a rare thing,

as I am  the type to  get hurt,

      just out on a walk,

on my on or with the dog,

      as she is huge,
