Three years have passed and I have become the perfect little prisoner, if there's such a thing like that.

I studied hard and did as I was told. I even helped the servants in their work in my free time. I learned

to cook, sew and garden. I was a dutiful little prisoner.

The best part of all this, I was left on my own more and more. To add the proverbial cherry on top, he

left me alone. He never bothered to speak to me directly, it was always through a servant or my tutors

and that was just fine with me. It was odd though, practically living with someone you barely saw.

I heard about him a lot though. The maids were always singing his praises. The Prince did this, the

Prince wore that, didn't you see the Prince and always with feminine longing. Because of their

constant gossip, I got the best news ever – the Prince was getting married.

Why was this great news for me? Simple, it meant he couldnt keep me here any longer. No woman I

in the world would be that accommodating to have another young unmarried woman living under

her roof! He would have to let me go! Or sell you stupid! My conscious corrected. Either way, I would

be out of here.

I was writing this news in my journal late one night when I heard the crash downstairs. I jumped off

my bed and placed the journal back in its hiding spot behind the nightstand then threw on my

robe over my pyjamas and went to see what the noise was about.

When I got downstairs, I saw the servants sweeping up a broken vase and a man stumbling drunkenly about cursing.

Of course, she fucking picks you! They all fucking want you! You dont even fucking want her, but her blood is good, so you shall have her.

Calm down Yuri. The Prince told the man. This is just about noble ties, you know that. Its how its done. Its how its always done.

You know I love her and you do this to me! Yuri agonized.

Love has no place in our lives. This is duty. After she bears my heir, you can have her back. The Prince assured him smoothly.

Yuris face lit with rage. Have her after! AFTER!! After you have fucking ruined her!

It was then a thought suddenly occurred to me. This Yuri is not afraid of the Prince. This Yuri hates

him it seems. Maybe he could be of use to me. I made my move. I moved from my hiding place

behind the column on top of the stairs into their sight and the Prince immediately cursed. This

caused Yuri to turn his back and face me.

Who is she? Yuri asked breathlessly as he stared at me.

None of your concern. Vlad told him then addressed me. Go back to bed. He inclined his head

and servants rushed towards me to assist me on my journey.

STOP! Yuri command and servants froze then turn to their prince.

You cannot command my people! Vladimir gritted out. Do as I order!

As they moved towards me once more, Yuri moved rushing up the stairs, parting them like the red
