Story Only I Didn't Know

CHAPTER I

Trees dancing to the rhythm of the wind, soccer players running back and forth, cheering squad practicing another routine. It seemed to be another busy day in Seoul National University.

But amidst all these happenings, a student is seen sleeping in one of the schools' art room. Her name is Son Chaeyoung, a third year art major. She was previously working on a project due next week, a painting portraying happiness to be exact. It was a really easy project and she could have finish it in less than an hour if it's just any other day BUT... it is not.

Happiness means using bright colored paints but her surroundings seemed to emit black and white, thus, making it hard for her to imagine happy thoughts.

Her best friend, Tzuyu, saw her sleeping while passing the said room. She wondered why the girl was sleeping when she's in her favorite place in school. Without thinking much, Tzuyu entered the room and wake the cub-like girl up.

"Hey Chae, wake up buddy" tzuyu said while tapping the girls' shoulder gently.

"huh?....oh hey Tzu" chaeyoung said as she rubbed her eyes to adjust to the lights.

"why are you sleeping here, Chae? It's so not you. Anything bothering you?" Tzuyu asked with a concern face.

"It's just...." Chaeyoung paused. She contemplated if she should share it to Tzuyu.

With an arched brow, tzuyu asked, "what? It's just what?"

"It's nothing tzu. It's....nothing" Chaeyoung sighed then continued "I just can't seem to focus on creating the project our professor gave us so I decided to sleep a bit." She said as she looked at her blank canvass.

Tzuyu knew it's not the real reason why the cub seemed so down but decided to just shrug it off. "Maybe she's not yet ready to share what's bothering her" Tzuyu thought.

"Well, we still got a lot of time to finish that. For now, let's get some ice cream. What do you think?" Tzuyu tried to cheer her friend up.

"Yeah, sure. Let me just clean things up."chaeyoung said liking the idea. She need fresh air to clear her thoughts anyway.

"okay!" Tzuyu beamed happily.

As the two reached the ice cream shop, their eyes were immediately hooked to the different flavors infront of them, finding it hard to choose from the many flavors available.

After a while, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu enjoyed their ice creams. Strawberry for Chae and chocolate for Tzuyu. They shared stories about their favorite girl group twice until they decided to part ways and call it a day because they still have class the next morning.

While waiting for her bus to arrive, Chaeyoung's thought went back to what she saw on the school's gate earlier that day...
