                                                                            ~* ~ *~

Two weeks quickly passes by, and the day of the almost termination is when I drove to the hospital and got a blood test, which came back positive as well. It's safe to say that my mother is the happiest she has ever been before, which tears me apart. But I don't show it to anyone at all. I try to be happy and smile all the time, but in all honesty, I'm far from it. I'm mostly depressed and it might just be my out of control hormones but Caleb is pretty much the same exact way. After not going through with the abortion, everything is just feeling. . . wrong. I still feel the same emotions as before. I'm throwing up every morning wondering how on earth I'm going to be a mother and raise a baby at the young age of seventeen, and nobody else seems to give a crap besides myself.

It's the day of my first ultrasound appointment, and I'm still pretty much stunned. It's still very difficult to realize I'm seriously in this situation. Although everyone in my family is assuming I'm going to keep the baby, I'm still not quite sure. I have another option besides termination. Adoption. . .

I figure since I'm only 10 weeks it'll be more comfortable for me to go to this appointment with my mother. I change into a comfortable pair of sweatpants along with a black shirt, and I leave the house in my mom's car as she drives.

The music is softly playing through the radio as I quietly stare out the window.

"How're you doing, sweetheart?" My mom sweetly asks me as I glance over at her worried face. I slightly shrug before looking out the window once again.

"Still feel nausious," I anxiously mutter as I stay silent afterwards.

She giggles, "Yes, that's what happens. It happened to me for the first four months when I was pregnant with you."

            "Cute," I softly whisper.

"Well, aren't you excited today's your first ultra sound?" She questions, her tone cheery and  enthusiastic as I carefully look back at her wide smile.

"No," I honestly let out, the happiness from her face instantly fading. "I'm seventeen. How could I be happy about this?"

"Hun, pregnancy is very miraculous. It's a mirace. Having a baby is simply amazing," she tries to tell me as I huff under my breath in frustration.

"I'm a teenager, mom," I quietly snap, my tone fed up and torn as she stares out the windshield without saying a single word. "I'm scared..." I practically whisper under my breath.

"That's perfectly normal," she tells me, her voice still happy as I dramatically sigh.

"Being a teenage mother isn't going to be normal!" I gasp, starting to get a headache as I lean my head back against the seat. "I can't do this. I'm so scared, mom. I want to go home. Now."

"Bell, you're ten weeks pregnant." She softly explains to me as my eyes tear up. "You need to get checked out. They're going to be doing an abdominal ultrasound to see the baby and also find its heartbeat. You need to start taking your prenatal vitamins so it can be healthy and grow."

"It doesn't look like a baby yet though. . ." I softly say, as she looks into my eyes. "Right?"

She softly nods, "Yeah, bell. It does. It's getting there."
