"I'm laying in the grass, dirt, and snow..." I held my hand out to him with a big smile and he took it, allowing me to help him up. "I think a cave would be an improvement."

"Yeah, I guess it would be." I looked away as he started picking everything up. It didn't take him long. I stood there wondering what was I was going to do now. I've never had a guest... ok no I've had Patton there before he knew... I guess I just got to do that than. This is just added stress that I don't need right now.

I started down the path not even looking to see if he was following me when the wind rushed through my hair. I looked back to see the guy shivering like crazy and I frowned. I know you said to wear it but I don't need a coat. He does...

I took my coat off and handed it to him. He looked at me with concern and I looked away. He took the coat and looked at it before looking back at me.

"Wait, what about you." I just shrugged, feeling my loose purple shirt move with the wind and smiled. The heat was too much. I never really understood how fire and boiling water felt cold to me but putting on a jacket was stifling and uncomfortable. I guess it had to do with my body heat being hotter that fire but still... I don't get it.

"Trust me, I don't need it." I watched as he put it on and made a face that looked like he was in bliss. I couldn't help but laugh and he shot me this dirty look. My chest seized up and I had to look away to hide the blush forming on my cheeks. No, Virgil. Do not do this to yourself again. You don't even know the guy.

"How is it so warm?" I looked to the side and sigh, ignoring his question and continuing down the path. I made it all the way to the remains of the Great Forest's border. My body started moving on its own. The Great Forest...

"Sister calm yourself." My eyes widened as once again I looked out on four faces from my past. "Do you not see the scars?"

"We do not possess the same sight as you." I looked over at the youngest one dressed up in blue. I looked at them with confusion. She had a long cloth tied over her eyes and yet spoke about scars and pain like she could see them. She knelt down beside me, a smile on her face as she reached out. I flinched back seeing everything start to glow red and the others tensed up ready to attack.

"Hold on." She held her hand up and the others slowly relaxed. All except the oldest, who stood there weapon in hand. I saw someone move in the corner of my eye and I jumped. The young lady in blue grabbed my arm, drawing my attention back to her and pulled me into a hug. "It's ok. It's ok. It's ok. It's..."

Not ok...  I grabbed the strangers arm and ran far from the memories that haunted me. I reached the curtain that Patton had made and I started to smile. Patton... The only light left in this horrifying world. The only one left that I've found anyway.

"It's just through here." I called back as I walked inside. The stranger followed staring at the wall and lights in awe. I just cringed. I do every time I see those claw marks. Mornings weren't the best for me back then. Actually, they never were ok until Patton showed up. He made it all bearable. I saw his grin and I smiled. "Patton insisted I make it more... homey." I stopped in front of the door and the man looked back at me confused. I couldn't help but smile at his expression. He really was adorable. "Welcome... To my home."

"So you live here?" He looked over at me and I practically melted. He liked it. He actually liked it. This isn't exactly a normal home. It's a damn cave but he looked at everything with such wonder. It made me happy. Until I realized he had asked me a question.

"I'm here every night." I said as I shrugged, walking over to a closet. I gestured to him for the coat and watched as he took it off. I couldn't help but blush as his shirt tightened against his body, showing his abs slightly. GET A GRIP VIRGIL. "Anywho, since you are staying the night... Guess we should introduce ourselves."

"Oh yeah, I completely forgot." I laughed and for the first time in a long time, everything wasn't so dark. With him... it was light. He was light. I guess... I found another one.

"Yeah, I was more concerned with getting you out of the cold." I said, smiling as I grabbed my hoodie. He just looked away and I couldn't help but feel a little anxious. Did I do something? Did I say something? Is he upset? Why did he look away like that? GOD DAMN IT VIRGIL! You can't fall for someone again. Your only going to end up hurt. I don't want a repeat of last time. I sighed looking over at him and my eyes went wide. He was all red.  I rushed over placing a hand on his forehead feeling for a fever. "Are you ok? You're not getting sick, are you?" He glanced up at me and freaked out, jumping back and hiding his face in his hands. I just got even more worried. "You look flushed.

"No... I'm good, it's just my body getting used to the warmth is all... cold cheeks. The names Roman... Roman Hayes." I nodded and smiled at him, hoping I could reassure him. If something was wrong... I wanted to help. I didn't like the idea of him sick or upset. Fucking shit...

You've gone and done it haven't you Virge? You've fallen for the handsome stranger. Such a fucking clique.

"Virgil... My name is Virgil Sanders."
