In Auradon things were on the surface running smoothly. Jay sat across from Bree eating a lovely meal.

"This is so great, you did a great job." Bree complimented her boyfriend.

"Thanks." Bree sighed wistfully and stared at Jay for a moment

"I miss this, I miss just sitting down calmly with no stress, I miss sitting with you while you talk avidly about what's been going on." Jay put his spoon down

"Me too."

"I know being in the public eye is difficult and adjusting to being here full time is hard, but I think you've done so well. I'm very proud of you."

"That means..." Out of nowhere their lovely home cooked meal turned back into two plates of sandwiches and juice. Bree looked down confused.

"What just happened?" she wondered

"Mal." Jay hissed quietly or so he thought.

"What's any of this got to do with Mal?" She questioned and he looked at her apprehensively as he could see the clogs in her brain figure it out.

"You had Mal, spell the food...you lied to me." her voice broke as Jay could see the hurt in her eyes.

"It wasn't meant like that, I forgot to ask someone to cook and Mal she..."

"You said you could cook, in fact you boasted, so you were lying to me then as well."

"Wha do you expect, you were talking on and on about us spending some time together having a meal and alone time like we had on our first date, I just said it in a joking way and you took me seriously, then I couldn't back out."

"Of what being on a date with me. jay I can't believe you have been using magic."

"What's the big deal, you use magic."

"To change my clothes or to take notes when someone is speaking really fast, not to cook large meals and who knows what else. What else have you being using magic for?" he looked down

"A lot by the way your looking down."

"What do you expect you and everyone else is looking at me expecting me to change and it hasn't been that easy, Bree."

"Then why not talk to me?"

"When are you here for more than five minutes!" he shouted causing Bree to stop "You're so busy with your brother all the time and keeping secrets from me that when do I have the chance to say, I'm not a prince, i haven't grown up around these rules and proper ways, up until nine months ago, I was stealing anything I could get my hands on. You're just.." he huffed

"Never mind" he walked off

"Jay!" Bree called but he slammed the door behind him.

Jay and Mal were making their way to their rooms after arguments with their other half's and they bumped into each other."

"Mal?"

"Jay"

"What's wrong?" they asked each other

"We had a fight." the answered

"Yeah, after our meal suddenly magic itself back into sandwiches." Jay added

"Sorry about that, Ben found my spell book and we had a fight i turned it back forgetting i spelled yours too." there was a moment's silence.

"I never thought I would say this, but I don't think we belong here." Jay said sadly.

"I think you're right. Meet me in the garage in half an hour?" jay nodded and they went to their room changing into their VK wear. Jay grabbed his bag and filled it with a few things then left a note for Carlos and left. Mal and Jay got on their bikes and left. A while later the came to a cliff facing the isle of the lost. Mall took out her spell book

"Noble steeds proud and fair, you shall take us anywhere." she spelled their bikes.

"Okay, here goes nothing." Mal said and they both revved up their bikes and took off. The spell worked carrying them across the water and through the barrier. They arrived on the Isle and sped through the streets much to peoples surprise, they stopped at a poster of the four of them and Mal removed it before they continued parking their bikes out of sight. Coming out they looked up at a sign that banned the throwing of stones.

"Together?" Mal asked and Jay grinned grabbing a rock. both them threw the rocks at the sign seeing it back and opening a gate. They made their way inside.

I know this is a short chapter but i felt it was a good place to finish. see you next chapter
