TAY'S POV

"I can't even do anything I want! You guys told me I could do anything I want to when my grow up, what happened to that?!" I yelled at my parents. I'm 17 and my parents are already discussing about what my career should be as an adult.

"Tay, you should go to medical school and be a doctor! Not a communications major!" My dad argued back at me.

My parents are those typical asian parents who want me to be a doctor since you get paid alot. They don't me to 'end up as a homeless woman who won't get anywhere'.

"I'm almost 18! I should be able to think for myself for what I should be. It's MY future!"

"We raised you and we want you to be successful!" My dad argued. He's playing the 'We raised you' argument again.

"Just because you raised me doesn't mean you could decide my future! I'm not asking you to decide my decisions, I just hoped you guys would respect them!" I screamed back and put a beanie on my black hair and shut the door loudly.

My parents don't understand me. I should be able to do what I want as an adult.

I'd rather have a job that would give me a thrill and adventure that pays less than having a job that I completely hate that pays alot, am I right?

I know what you're thinking: "Running away from your problems won't get you anywhere."

Well whenever I'd get mad or frustrated, I loved going outside for a walk to cool myself down and think through the problem through.

Walking through the streets of Sydney, Australia made me feel so carefree. I'm glad my parents moved here after I was born because it was so peaceful from where I lived and it gave me so much time to think.

My thoughts were clouded by everything though, should I be a communications major while having fun in my job or be a doctor while hating my job completely?

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I collided bodies with a tall man about 6 ft with blonde hair and blue eyes.

With both bodies connecting at once, we both fell to the ground and laughed.

"Tay! It's you!" I knew that voice from anywhere.

"Luke! This is seriously like the hundreth time we've bumped into each other." Literally.

The first time I bumped into Luke was when I was our for a walk since I caught my ex-boyfiend cheating on me with my ex-best friend.

I was thinking too hard about what I did wrong for him to cheat on me for my best friend that I literally bumped into Luke.

After that day, we exchanged numbers and ever since I had a crush on him.

"Seriously Hemmings, are you stalking me or something?" I smirked while he took out his hand for me to stand up from the floor. My cheeks are probably red from embarassment.

"Tay, we always bump into each other when you're having a bad day. Are you alright?" Luke said with a concerned voice. I'm alright now.

"Oh, it's nothing." I lied. But Luke didn't see through me.

"Come on, let's go to my place for a bit to clear things off."

On the way to Luke's house, all I did was laugh and giggle.
