"I can't believe how much I hate, pressures of a new place roll my way. Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me. Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me. I crumble underneath the weight, pressures of a new place roll my way. Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me. Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me"

"This isn't a demolition notice, it's a notice of extermination" Jughead complained as he held a piece of paper in his fist. They had all gathered in a classroom for a Swords and Serpents meeting but it was only now they understood why; Jughead was nt ready to say goodbye to Southside High. If Lola was honest, she didn't know if she was ready either.

"We've already said our goodbye to Southside, Jughead" Toni answered, seemingly bored of the whole situation. The other Serpents seemed to silently agree with her, also not caring. However, Lola couldn't ignore the feeling in the pit of her stomach when she thought of her former school closing.

Jughead definitely was not going to give up easily and continhued to rant about the notice. "Today, it's Southside High, tomorrow it's the Wyrm. Everything that makes the Southside home is gonna disappear. If we roll over now, it's all over."

Lola couldn't help but agree with her best friend. Everything had changed in a matter of weeks; soon everything would be gone. She definitely was nt prepared to loose everything yet, despite what a mess her life had been lately.

Southside High may have just been a school, but it was where she had met some of her best friends; it was where she had met Sweet Pea. If she had never gone to Southside High, she still might not be a Serpent again.

"It's just a building Jug" Toni scoffed, still not seeing it the way he and Lola seemed to be. "No, Toni, it's the sous of the Southside. The Uktena fought and died trying to protect that land. Our parents fought to keep it safe during the riots. Now it's our turn. It's our time. This is our fight. So who's with me? Who's ready to go to war?" Jughead retorted.

Silence descended upon the Serpents. No one aside form Lola had realised how passionate Jughead was about saving the school and it was hard to shoot him down with the argument he made. Lola wanted more than anything to stand with her best friend, but she knew there w as nothing they could do; they were only a couple of teenagers.

Before anyone could say either way, the shrill bell rung out in the classroom, signalling the end of their free period. Lola sighed as the Serpents began to leave without uttering a word and followed behind them.

As she made her way towards her next class, a familiar voice whispered in Lola's ear. "Skip with me?" Sweet Pea asked, smirking at the girl. Lola thought about the offer but ultimately knew what her answer would be; there was no way she'd choose history over Sweet Pea.

"What do you think?" Lol teased as she smiled brightly up at the tall Serpent. Sweet Pea laughed slightly at her before grabbing her hand and pulling her out the doors of the school and towards his bike.

For once, Lola wasn't worrying about anything as they sped down the street with her arms wrapped around Sweet Pea's waist. She wasn't thinking about Jughead and Reggie finding out about her and Sweet Pea or her mother or even Southside High. It was like she had left all of her worries at school.

Lola didn't know if it was the fact that she was completely carefree or simply because she was with Sweet Pea, but she couldn't help but grin as the two found a quiet booth in Pop's.

"Why are you so happy?" Sweet Pea questioned after ordering the two of them a milkshake. Lola honestly didn't have a proper answer for him; she didn't really know why she was happy. "No reason" she simply stated, taking his hand in hers.

"You truly are a mystery, Princess" he said while shaking his head in wonder. Lola somehow managed to smile even wider at this; she missed hearing him call her Princess. "I missed this" she stated, giving words to her thoughts.

Sweet Pea furrowed his eyebrows slightly in confusion, unsure if what she was referring to. "Missed what?" he asked. "Us. Together. I missed spending time with you and hearing you called me Princess" Lola casually explained.

Now it was Sweet Pea's turn to grin and he squeezed her hand slightly with affection. "It's a good thing I'm not going anywhere then, isn't it" he said, leaning over the table towards Lola.

This caused the girl to blush a slight rosy colour. They had been together for so long - aside for the brief break - yet he still knew how to embarrass her. The tall Serpent only smirked as he sipped on his milkshake, clearly happy with the effect he had on her.

"So, can you believe Jones?" Sweet Pea said after a while, changing the subject completely. Lola looked across at him, confusion plastered on her face. "The whole 'save Southside High' thing. It's a hell hole" he simply stated, reading her confusion.

Lola frowned now, realising what s
Sweet Pea thought. Clearly he didn't see it the same way she and Jughead did. "He's right though" she stated with a shrug. Sweet Pea raised his eyebrows at the girl, clearly questioning her.

"It's more than a school, Sweets. Without it I never would have gone back to the Serpents. I never would have met Toni or Fangs. I never would have met you" Lola explained, becoming frustrated by the fact that he didn't see it that way. "It's done a lot for me and Jug and I'm gonna help him save it."

Sweet Pea could sense Lola's determination and only now understood why both she and Jughead wanted to save the school so much. "I get it" he said, sighing with defeat. "I'll get the others to help." Lola's face lit up at this statement, not thinking Sweet Pea would actually help.

"Wait, really?" she exclaimed, becoming more and more excited by the minute. Sweet Pea smiled at her enthusiasm and nodded his head. "Lets go then!" Lola squealed, eager to do this. She began dragging him out the door of Pop's and soon, would find herself chained to the front of her old school with him.
