(Kayani)

Slowly and reluctantly, I uncovered my face and slowly opened my eyes. I blinked, closed my eyes, and blink again trying to get the haziness out of them but it was useless.

My pillow felt wet and cold, as if it was having a mini flood of its own. My head pounded sharply as I sat up from the bed causing me to main in pain. I looked over at the only source of light, the small clock on the bedside table, to see it was half past three in the morning. I grunted at the ridiculous time and laid my head back down- it was too really to be awake. I tossed the wet pillow off the bed and found another on to the right of me before, moving around a bit until I found the perfect position.

Just as I was about the fall into what I could tell was going to be a very good, deep, bed sheet embedded in skin sleep, a hard knocking could be heard on my front door.

I looked over at the clock to see it was quarter to four. I loud groan left my lips. "I'm about to shoot somebody man." I growled in frustration. "Can't a girl get some damn sleep for a straight hour." I whispered yelled to myself.

I decided to ignore whoever it was and face palm my pillow. "When your ready we can talk, okay Kay. Just know I'm here." I heard Gigi say softly. "Love you." With that I heard her feet lightly tap away and I resumed trying to fall sleep.

However sleep was playing hide and seek with me as I tossed and turned for the few hours I laid down.

I blew out a long extended breath and unwilling sat up straight. Dragging my feet off the bed, I drowsily rubbed my knuckles onto my eyes. I yawned loudly, taking a long satisfying stretch, hearing my bones crack in the right places.

My stomach began to churn making me groan in despair. I really hated this side of being pregnant. Eventually, I got off the bed, turned on the light and stumbled my way across the room to the toilet to empty my stomach for an hour, which had nothing it anyways.

Standing up, I wiped my mouth with the sleeves of my shirt and went to the huge mirror to look at my appearance. Messy hair sticking in every direction with puffy, red eyes stared back at me. Dry tear stains ran along my face and my neck, my throat felt sore and uncomfortable like shards of glass was stuck between it. It was the epitome of beauty.

Feeling unpleasant I decided went to take a quick shower to make myself feel refreshed and brand new. I turned on the pipe and left it for a few minutes to let it heat up and took of my clothes before jumping in. I let out a long satisfied moan as the warm water enveloped my skin like a blanket. I took longer than expected as my skin began to prune up from the water. Turning off the pipe I went out to grab my towel and dried my skin.

After applying lotion I found in the room, I went into Dante's closet I grabbed one of his new pair of boxers shorts and a large shirt to wear. Knowing that I was in a house of vampires there was bound to be a handful of Espositos downstairs at this time, so I headed to the kitchen.

"Where the hell have you been Gio? I've been calling you for fucking five hours straight. It's almost five in the morning!" I heard Giana yell, as I can down the stairs, before there was a long pause. "And who's blood is that? Please me you didn't do something stupid?" She begged anxiously. He looked at her with stoic eyes and walked past her like she wasn't even there. "I'm talking to you Gio!"

Realising he was coming upstairs I turned to go back up but he was already there. "Morning." I mumbled turning around and walking past him on the stair case.

His gloved hand grabbed my wrist. "I'm going to be better." He said intensely staring into his eyes, I could see the misery and sadness in his eyes. I had to fight the habit of taking him in my arms and promising him that everything was going to be okay. So instead I gave him a curt nod in response, not trusting myself to speak and quickly walk away from him, the smell of the dry blood was making my stomach coil in discuss.
