Nearly two months have gone by and things have gotten better for me. Shortly after my mom's funeral, I decided to make our wedding similar to the one my parents held. Steve was all for the idea, and Pepper seemed more than glad to help out with the changes. Now, with the wedding practically around the corner, there wasn't much left to accomplish. All I really needed was a wedding dress and the rest is up to Pepper.

I was walking down the streets of New York with Natasha and Pepper. Since I made them both my bridesmaids, they seemed more than happy to help me with picking the right dress. Natasha seemed to have the most experience with her undercover work she's done for S.H.I.E.L.D. and whatnot.

We entered a boutique and were immediately greeted with the cool air of the building. As I walked around the many displays of dresses, I felt myself get lost in their beauty. Their designs were mesmerizing and very unique. I grabbed two dresses that seemed to grab my attention and made my way into the dressing room. After changing into one of the dresses, I stepped out to show Pepper and Natasha.

"Well, what do you think?" I asked them. They both gave each other a look and then shook their heads.

"It doesn't seem right for you." Pepper tried to nicely put. I looked at Natasha and she nodded her head. I then went back into the dressing room and undressed myself and changed into my second option. Once I was dressed, I walked back out and showed them the dress.

"Well?" I asked.

"It's a bit...big and puffy." Pepper said.

"Maybe you should get something that's less puffy. Maybe something that fits better," Natasha said. She then got up from her chair and walked over to the rack of dresses. I watched as she searched through the dresses and after a moment or two, she pulled out a long, yet elegant dress. "Maybe something like this." She suggested.

And so I did as she suggested. But that only resulted in more rejections from the two of them. Some dresses that they suggested were rejected by me. It felt like hours had went by and I was practically on the verge of giving up on the dress shopping. Some of the dresses were either too big, too small, too short, too long, or weren't my size. I really had no idea dress shopping was this difficult.

"I don't think we'll find anything to our liking." I sighed. I was tired both physically and mentally. I've been feeling stress from the wedding planning and now dress shopping. My body felt worn. "I think we should just stop for today." I said as I began walking to the dressing room. I glanced over at a rack of dresses and when I looked away, I couldn't help but do a double take.

I saw a dress that looked similar to my mother's, but prettier and more elegant. I made my way to the dress and took it off the rack. I examined it and I couldn't help but smile and let out a light laugh. It made me think about the picture of my parent's wedding day and many other happy memories of my mother.

"Did you find another one?" I heard Natasha's voice call to me. I snapped out of my thoughts and walked over to the two women and showed them the dress.

"What do you guys think?" I asked them. They both looked over the dress and gave me a consent nod.

"It looks great, really." Pepper said.

"But it's best to try it on. Looks can be deceiving." Natasha added.

"She's right," Pepper agreed. I nodded my head and made my way to the dressing room. I changed into the dress and took a moment to admire myself in it. I loved the lace on the shoulders and the color of the dress. I also admired how it fit. It was slim but it moved swiftly with my movement. I really did love this dress and I only hope that Natasha and Pepper did too.

I made my way out of the dressing room and stood before the women. "So, what do you think? Does it look right?" I asked them. I watched as a bright smile formed on their faces.

"It's definitely the best one you've picked out," Natasha said. I chuckled lightly.

"Are you saying I have a bad taste in dresses?" I asked.

"Yes and no," she said. I rolled my eyes and looked at Pepper.

"I think this is the one for you. It definitely matches you best." Pepper said. I sighed happily.

"I guess I'll be getting this one." I said as I started for the dressing room. I'm glad for two reasons. First, is that I finally came to a decision and second, I'm done with the stress of finding a dress and I can finally go back home and relax for a bit. I haven't done much relaxing in a while and I really need to.
