(Luke's POV)

"Welcome to my home." The girl announced.

"Whoa," I said in awe.

"This is amazing." Autumn said.

"How'd you find this place?" I asked.

"Well, I was wandering around the island, and I just found it." The girl shrugged.

"Where do you stay?" Autumn asked.

"Stay?" She asked.

"She means where is your shelter." I clarified.

"Is it far?" I asked.

"A little." The girl said, with a hesitation in her voice.

"Okay." I said.

"Ok. Follow me." She said and took off running. Autumn started running after her.

"Autumn! What about Codie?!" I called after her. She turned around at my call.

"Oh yeah..." Autumn realized.

"We can't go." I said.

"You're right." She sighed.

"Um, girl?" She called.

"Yes?" The girl called back.

"We can't come with you!" I screamed at her.

"Okay I'm coming back!" Mikayla screamed back. After a moment, we didn't hear a response.

"Girl?" Autumn screamed. Then, we herd a scream from the girls direction.

"Codie, stay." Autumn said and tied him to a tree.

"What are you doing?" I asked frantically.

"Going to find her." Autumn replied.

"No! What if it's an animal?" I tried to convince her.

"C'mon Luke. Please?" Autumn begged.

"Fine." I sighed.

"Let's go." Autumn said and took off in the girls direction.

I raced after her. I was much faster considering I was a football player and she was a bookworm. But, I didn't go past her, I stayed behind her. We ran at a very fast pace. I wasn't out of breath, but I could tell Autumn was.

"Autumn." I huffed out.

"Yeah?" She breathed.

"Slow down." I pleaded, resting my hands on my knees to catch my breath.

"No, I-I can't." She said.

"Autumn. You have to. Or else you'll pass out." I said.

"Okay." She finally agreed.

I could see her slow her pace down. Then, we heard her scream again. Autumn and I's pace quickened faster. I kept trying not to trip, but it was hard. When we finally reached where the girl was. I herd Autumn gasp.

The girl was lying on the grass with her stomach ripped open. She was dead.
