Your POV

RRRRIIIIINNGGGG! I moaned as I  clicked 'off' on the alarm clock on my phone.

I got out of bed, and checked the time and date.

Wait a minute.

Its June 29th.

Oh no, no, no!!

In case your wondering, I promised Miguel that we would go swimming today. And you know what that means.

A bathing suit.

I got out of bed, did my hygienic routine and put on my bathing suit.

I'll say, I look nice.. I guess :/

I put a long shirt over it and went downstairs to find Miguel talking to my mama.

"Hola mama, hola Miguel!"

They both said hola back to me, and Miguel and I left.

*On the way to the lake*

"So.." He said "Y-You know where we're going, right?"

"Ugh. Don't remind me of it." I say.

"Why don't you like swimming?"

I look at him with slightly warm cheeks. " It's not that I don't like swimming, I just don't like the... the
.....never mind."

"W-We don't have to go, if you don't want to." He said looking down.

"*sigh* yes, we do Miguel," I say slightly smiling. "I promised you, and I can't break it."

He sighs happily and says " Last one to the lake is a pool toy! " And runs off.

What? Pool toy?

"Ay, Miguel." I say running after him

I run past the plaza and out to the lake, and Miguel has already taken his jacket off.

He won, obviously. Not because I'm slow, but because he is really fast.

"Haha! I won!" He said dancing around me. "You're a pool toy!"

"Yeah I wanted to ask you ab-" just then I was oh-so RUDELY interrupted by Miguel pushing me into the water.

I swallowed some water and my shirt was removed by the flow of the water.

I rose back up to the surface just to see Miguel laughing.

Classy.

I smiled at him just to make him think I'm not about to do the same to him.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the water with me.

We started playing around, splashing, etc.

We swam around for a few hours until the sun was coming down.

"Miguelllllll," I say laughing "I have to go! My mama is probably worried by now."

"Just five more minutes!" He says.

"No, Miguel I have to go!" I smile.

"Fiiiine."

I get out of the lake and sit on the grass, realizing how I don't have a towel.

I start to shake the water off and I open my eyes to see Miguel blushing. Hard.

"What?" I say, heat rising onto my cheeks.

"You're.." He begins "Y-You're really pretty."

"Thanks." I say trying extra hard not to smile.

He gets out of the lake, shirt clinging to his small frame.

We both gathered our stuff and he walked me home.

When we arrived at my house, we said our goodbyes.

"Adios Y/N!"

"Adios Miguel!! See you tommorow!"

I give him a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek, and I run inside, leaving him lovesick.
