Kim's POV

"Imy."

I grunted in response, at natulog ulit.

"Psst, Imy."

I opened one eye slightly, then slept again.

"Imy ano ba? HUY!"

My eyes were still closed but I mumbled, "Ano?" before heading back into slumber.

"Ako lang ba, o may nagdo'doorbell?" I rolled over, as I was facing the wall previously, and turned to face Cyd. Her eyes were opened fully in the darkness, as if she had seen a ghost. My eyes were still battling sleep.

Mahirap din magising kasi malamig, at napansin ko lang na yun ay dahil sa bumubuhos na ulan sa labas.

"Wala yan, baka nagha'hallucinate ka lang. Matulog ka nalang ulit." I desperately closed my eyes again.

I was about to fall asleep again when I heard the doorbell ring for myself. It was a sound that stood out despite the pouring rain outside.

I opened one eye.

"Narinig mo yun?" Cyd asked.

Masyado pa akong tinamad para sagutin yung pinto. "Baka multo lang." Sinarado ko muli ang mga mata ko.

That earned a groan from her, as she hated ghosts.

Then, I felt the bed rise next to me. Cyd stood up to check the gate through the window.

"I-Imy may tao." Parang kinabahan si Cyd ng konti.

"Ha?" I finally got up and checked too.

It was hard to see because the rain was smashing so hard against the window, but there was undoubtedly someone at the gate.

I asked her, "Bakit hindi sinagot ni Tyang o kaya ni Robert yung pinto?" but didn't get an answer.

"'Di kaya magnanakaw?" Cyd asked with wide eyes.

"Baliw! Kung magnanakaw yan, eh ba't pa magdo'doorbell?" I slapped her on the shoulder, laughing slightly.

She took one last glance before saying, "Check mo nga."

"Bakit ako?" Tinaas ko ang mga kilay ko.

"Eh..." She looked to the side, avoiding eye contact.

I grinned at her. "Takot ka dahil baka magnanakaw? Eh hin—"

"Baliw, hindi!"

I thought for a bit before realizing with a smirk, "Natatakot ka ba kasi baka multo?"

"Hmmm!" Then she hit me on the back.
