Chapter 20: "Wedding Preparation"

[ Destiny POV ]

Before dinner Liam and I spent hours trying to train Mojo Jojo some tricks, I came to the conclusion that my dog is dumb as Mojo Jojo in Power Puff Girls. Wala man lang syang natutunan gawin isa man sa itinuro namin ni Liam and what's worst it seems that he enjoy stepping in his own poop! Sa tingin ko kailangan ko syang bilhan ng puppy booties.

"Anong blood line ba itong si Mojo Jojo? Jeez, he is so dumb!" I pouted due to disappointment. Gusto ko pa naman sanang kasing bibo ko ang alaga ko.

"I don't know which blood line he has and besides he is still a puppy so there is a lot of time to train him. Huwag mong masyadong i-stress ang sarili, Destiny." Sabi ni Liam.

Naupo kami sa damuhan ng garden at pinagmasdan si Mojo Jojo na nagpapagulong-gulong sa may damuhan.

"See? Mukhang alam nya na ang 'roll over' na itinuro mo." Liam said chuckling.

I whistle and snap my fingers then call my pet. "Mojo Jojo, come!" He immediately run towards me and lick my hand.

"Sweet ni Mojo Jojo." Liam said. Hinarap ko sya habang hinihimas ang balahibo ni Mojo Jojo.

"Mana sa nagregalo." Sabi ko sabay kindat sa kanya. I saw his cheeks turned red. "Blushed ka naman kaagad dyan." Biro ko sa kanya.

"Destiny at Liam, pinatatawag na kayo ni Vicky. Dinner time na." Sigaw ni yaya Lucing na nasa bukana ng glass door.

"Susunod na po, yaya." Sigaw ko at tumayo na. "Liam, come and let's leave Mojo Jojo here muna at pumasok na sa loob."

"Yeah, let's get inside."

Matapos namin maghugas ng kamay ay naupo na kami sa hapag kung saan kami na lang dalawa ang hinihintay. Pagkaupo namin ay hindi na ako nakatiis na magtanong.

"So mommy, what's your surprise to me?"

Ibinuka ni mommy ang bibig nya para magsalita but was quickly cut off by my daddy.

"Bakit hindi muna tayo maghapunan bago sabihin kay Destiny ang surprise?" He stated more than asked. "I wouldn't want to ruin her birthday, after all." I heard him mumble afterwards.

Napalunok ako. Mukhang hindi maganda ang surprise para sa akin. Sinulyapan ko si Liam but all I got was a nervous smile in return. Crap! I'm really starting to hate my parents surprises.

"Sweetie, here is my gift for you." My mommy handed me a box of a French shoe brand, Christian Louboutin. Kinuha ko ito sa kanya at binuksan. It was a high heeled shoe. Bumuntong hininga ako kasi palagi na lang ganito ang binibili nya sa akin. Ang katwiran nya, she wanted me to look taller dahil nga five feet three lang ako. Ang totoo nyan, gusto talaga ni mommy na sumunod ako sa yapak nya at maging beauty queen, kaso kinapos ako sa height requirement kaya naman na-frustrate sya ng husto.

"Thanks mommy."

"Did you like it? It was the same pair that Miley Cyrus have."

"Yeah, yeah." I replied bored. As if naman na fanatic ako ni Miley Cyrus.

"Brat, here is my gift for you. Happy birthday." Kuya Desjun greeted and hand me over a small box from Tiffany & Co. I took it from him and open it. I smiled upon seeing an Emerald stud earrings.
