Chapter 19: "Birthday Girl"

AUTHOR's NOTE:

Liam, in this chapter was inspired by Hugo 'H' Olivera, one of my all time favorite male lead. He is your typical bad boy in a motorcycle kind of guy, from a Spanish movie entitled, "Tres Metros Sobre El Cielo" in english it means "Three Meters Above The Sky". By the way, I wrote this one on my birthday so it's on Chapter 19.

[ Destiny POV ]

Three days after Liam and I had a cruise across Manila Bay, I found out that I would not be seeing him for three weeks. He needed to fly to Connecticut for some business purposes. Yipee!! It's just so great that I finally have a fiancé yet I don't even get to celebrate my birthday with him. I let out a sigh. Oh well, at least this means to say that he has to get me an even better gift to make it up for it.

Sampung araw na ang mabilis na lumipas na wala sa paligid ko si Liam. Aminado ako na namimiss ko ang presensya nya at gustong-gusto ko na syang makita. I know that I am over reacting since everyday we do a Skype video chat session naman aside from the frequent long distance call that we do. But still, his real presence is different. Haiz, ano ba itong nararamdaman ko para sa kanya at hindi talaga ako masaya na wala sya sa paligid ko?

Two weeks passed and it was finally my birthday. Pasakay na sana ako ng McLaren ko ng bigla akong tawagin ni mommy na nasa may porch at nag-aalmusal.

"Destiny sweetie, wait. You have to be home after school because tonight we have a special family dinner for your nineteenth birthday. Your daddy and I have a wonderful surprise for you." She cooed. I just smiled and nodded my head before getting in my car. Great, isa na namang 'surprise' mula sa mga magulang ko. The last time I check ay hindi ko nagustuhan ang 'surprise' na binigay nila sa akin ng magkaroon kami ng special family dinner.

I stepped on my car's engine and drive my way to University. I turn on the radio in full blast para mawala sa isip ko ang sinabi ni mommy na suprise. Natawa ako bigla ng madinig ang kanta na tumugtog. Ang kanta ay sumikat noong early 90's at OST ng pelikulang 'Sherlock Holmes'. Iisang tao lang ang naisip ko na bagay na bagay sa kanta na yun. One over-confident person, that his personality level of sexiness just makes him too sexy for numerous things, most notably his shirt... because I could stare at that person's pecs and abs all day without having an eye strain. And it's non other than my histrionic-narcissistic fiancé, Liam Jayden dela Vega.

'I'll download this song next time and make it his ringtone in my cellphone.', I told myself while listening to the music with a grin.

After I parked my car inside the University and got off from it I saw a large group of students gathering in front of the main entrance. Hmmm, may frat war kaya o shooting? Nagtalo ang loob ko kung makiki-usi ako o hindi, but curiousity did kill the cat after all, kaya sumunod na din ako sa mga estudyante at nakiusyoso.

"I think he's a model or something." I heard one girl said.

"I think I saw him in a life sytle magazine before with his parents." Another girl said.

"Oh God, it's him..... The heir to the-- I forgot the company's name but I'm sure that it is him. He is so guwapo!" Tili ng isa.
