His master? Take good care of him?? ME???

"Uhm.... No, that's NOT me, I threw that necklace away." I stated, turning around to face him again. "It's not mine. Henceforth," I said mocking him, "You're not mine."

"It doesn't matter whether you throw it away or not, you are the one that bought it, so you are the master. Henceforth, you ARE my master." He retaliated at me skillfully.

Damn, this guy was good.

I wasn't exactly sure of how to deny it any further, so I only gridded my teeth, and moved on. "Question #2: what do you mean by 'summoned'?"

"Exactly as I say it, summoned. You had the necklace in your possession before, right? I mean you've opened the box and physically touched it, right?" He asked with his eyebrow raised, as if challenging me to say otherwise. I looked away and thought about it for a second. That night in the car, right before I chucked it out the window...

I bit my bottom lip as I nodded slowly, and he smirked knowingly. "You didn't happen to rub the coin in any way? Even touch it slightly?"

Once again I thought back to the night in the car. When I was crying, one of my tears landed on the coin, and I wiped it away with my finger, so I had undeniably touched it...

In a defeated manner, I once again nodded my head slowly. "So you see, you rubbing the coin had summoned me out into this world, and so here I am. I mean it doesn't take much, just one little touch from you and that does the trick." He explained, winking at me. "It's very sensitive."

My eyes widened as I blushed, my body involuntarily shuddering. As if satisfied with my response, he once again leaned back into the couch, and folded his hands behind his head all while watching me with a smirk.

"So... I summoned you..." I tried saying out loud to help it sink in, and he had a glint in his eyes, as if satisfied I had finally said it out loud. But that didn't mean I was anywhere close to accepting it... "What uh... Exactly does that make you?"

"A djinni." He said without batting an eye. "Or, to put it more precisely, a marid."

I just stood there with wide eyes, not certain what any of those mean. He just laughed, as if expecting me to be confused, and leaned further back. "It's practically the same thing as a genie. You know the Arabic words carved into the black jewelry box that held the necklace? That was a type of sealing spell, so none of my 'evil' leaks out." He grinned at my mischeiviously, making me squirm uncomfortably.

"O-Oh, I see..." I said looking away nervously. "So you're an evil genie..."

"Evil? Of course not. I haven't bitten you yet, have I? Although I've been told it's not too bad." He laughed, his voice still soft like silk, yet light like butterfly wings.

"So... You were summoned by me, and now you're sitting in my living room... Ok... What do you want..?" I asked unsurely. If he was here, that means he had a reason for being here in the first place. I obviously didn't actually call him, he just kinda... Appeared...

He burst out laughing, and I found myself blushing slightly. "What?!" I yelled defensively.

"I don't think you know how a genie works love." He laughed, and I could feel my cheeks burn with embarrassment. "Well excuse me for not exactly having the whole mythical creature encyclopedia installed in my brain, I must have missed the update!"
