My mouth was dry.

My mind was numb.

My stomach felt queasy.

My heart stopped beating.

But all I could do was smile.

Smile as I walked through the doors.

Smile as everyone stared at us.

Smile as Shane said we were dating.

Smile as people were congratulating us.

Smile as He pulled me into a kiss.

Smile as Ryland watched.

Garrett's pov

My spine tingled.

My cheeks flushed.

My ears went hot.

My teeth grind together.

But all I could do was Smile.

Smile as I saw them walk in.

Smile as my heart tore in two.

Smile as I realised he never cared.

Smile as I pat Shane on the back.

Smile as we all laughed with him.

Smile as Ryland ran.

My heart dropped.

My eyes prickled.

My throat dried.

My sense was numb.

But all I could do was smile.

Smile when I heard people talking.

Smile when I got closer.

Smile when Garrett ran over.

Smile when I saw him kiss her.

Smile when I ran so nobody could see me cry.

My eyes were glossy.

My voice was sluggish.

My mind was in slow motion.

My heart tumbled.

But all I could do was smile.

Smile as walked in with my arm around her.

Smile as I kissed her.

Smile as people I didn't know congratulated us.

Smile as the only thing on my mind was Ryland.

Smile as I saw him.

Smile as I saw him run.

Then I stopped smiling.

[A/N: my heart goes out to David and Liza. They recently broke up (watch the video on David's channel) and I cried the whole way through the video.
I fully understand the reasons why they broke up, and if liza is dealing with any anxiety, depression, self awareness ect then I truly hope she gets better.
I do feel like they are perfect for each other, and nobody can replace each other.
I do hope that liza gets better.
I do hope they get back together.
