~Adams POV~

"Where in the hell is she!", I mutter under my breath. She's already twenty minutes late. This is the last time I cover her shift.

I don't mean to sound like an ass but it's the fourth time this month.

I walk out on the deck to seat a now grumpy elderly couple, as out of the corner of my eye I see Marcy pull up.

"She better have a good excuse!", I smartly say with quick bitterness.

~Marcy's POV~

As I pull up to the dinner I can tell Adam is pissed, ugh well I guess I deserve his wrath...

I park my car in my designated spot, and I get out and approach the dinner.

And I see an angry Adam walk up to me.

"why in the hell are you so freaking late!!", he says in an angry almost yelling tone.

"I'm so sorry Adam I lost track of time." , I say quickly sounding almost panicked.

"sorry isn't not going to cut it. that's the last time I cover for you! Next time your late your going to have to talk to the manager!", he said in a now shouting tone.

~Adams POV~

I've had enough of her! I turned around and walked away before she could speak... I feel kind of bad now, but I guess she deserves it...

As I walk away I could just imagine a sad weeping Marcy waddling away.

Then I realize I can't do it!

I quickly turn around and apologize.

"Marcy I didn't mean to go of on you. You just made me mad. Next time I won't be such a dick.", I say in a way you would beg for trust or forgiveness.

"it's ok to yell at me once in a while you big marshmallow.", she says in a jokingly manner.

"I'm not a marshmallow." I say trying not to laugh.

Marcy: but you are soft.

Now she made me laugh I can't stay mad at her for anything.

Adam: well we have to get to work before we both get fired. And I might get beat up by the old couple I'm waiting on if I keep then waiting any longer haha.

~Marcy's POV~

I laugh as I go to the back, clock in and grab my apron.

I'm glad I work with a guy like Adam instead of some of the other guys out in the world.

(SIX HOURS LATER)

I had just seated my last couple and I was ready to go home... Until Adam shows up with an evil smirk on his face.

Adam: hey your closing tonight.

Marcy: what? No!

Adam: you were late, you close..

Marcy: fine...

I hate closing....

I waited for every one to leave, put my apron on the rack, clocked out and closed up the dinner.

I guess I'll text Tyler and tell home I'm on my way home.
