Yes, 'tis I.

I am now DONE with exams for this year, *does happy dance*

So here is the next chappie. It's in Leo's POV, because I really enjoyed the one time I wrote it from his perspective. And I need some Leo after all those exams T^T

Hope you enjoy!

Leo’s POV

Derek had been visibly worried since Kim’s disappearance which in turn made Leo edgy. After he had told Derek about his dealings with the Chinese mafia his lover had given him a long lecture on mortality and self-preservation. Now he had finally fallen asleep with his eyebrows bunched up in a frown. Leo didn’t even realize he had moved his hand before he felt Derek’s soft skin under his fingers. With gentle movements he tried to even out the frown. On a sigh Derek’s features relaxed and he snuggled closer to Leo. A warmth that both made every nerve and muscle in his body light up, but also grounded him welled up in Leo. The feeling made him want to draw Derek into his arms and never le-

An unwelcome vibrating tore him out of the moment and a low growl of annoyance rumbled from his chest. Carefully slipping out of the bed, Leo took the phone call out in the hall.

“What?”

“Well someone is a sourpuss this evening,” Paul said in his normal carefree way. Sometimes Leo wondered if the guy had a death wish. But then again, you had to be some kind of crazy to succeed in the underground world of Pareo.

Leo didn’t bother commenting. He could already feel - or not as was the case - the effects of being away from Derek setting in. It was an odd sensation.

“We’ve got word from the Chinese mafia. The former leader Liu Cheung’s son has taken over and wants to meet with you. And no, they did not specify the why.”

“When?” Leo asked, already running plans in his head.

“In an hour, down by the pier.” That would two o’clock in the morning then. “What do you wanna do ‘bout Muffin?”

“Don’t call him that,” Leo all but growled at his second in command. There was a short beat of silence on the other end. “So you wanna bring, Cupcake?” The man most definitely had a death wish.

“No, he’ll stay here locked in my room with all the soldiers we can spare right outside.” Leo could just see Derek wanting to come and help save Kim and then get himself shot. Or knifed. Or strangled. Or beaten to a-

Leo had to force himself to focus on the topic they were discussing before his mind conjured up more images. Having said what he needed to, he hang up on Paul without saying goodbye or the like. They weren’t friends and if Paul was offended, Leo didn’t care.

Stalking inside his room again he went over to check on Derek before getting ready. Derek had snatched both his and Leo’s pillows and was hugging them close. The duvet had been pushed half down on the floor while he was out talking on the phone, and he was treated to a nice view of Derek’s arse and legs. Leo felt himself harden, but ignored it and instead threw the duvet back up on the bed.
