I have high expectations with a low mental state

while I wish I was dead
I don't try to change me
Yet binge eat instead

Since we were raised as if we were special
Then we face reality to know we aren't
Why are you still demanding a better tomorrow ?

When we were young we loved sugary drinks
As we grow we get addicted to coffee and alcohol
With much more bitterness than you think
They're a legal cure for the pain in my head

I lost count of times I went to my bed crying ; yet somewhere near me they didn't have a bed
" Help me " they said

Do you remember when we talked for hours on the phone ..
you telling me it will get better
And I'm better of alone ?
"They" didn't have a phone
Neither some clothes on
Watch the spoiled kids get depressed
Their hands are now in mine
Face to face
teaching me how to be strong
Hypothetically fine
While I fill their cup with fancy wine
The type of drinks to help me finish this line .
