Just a Crush

Pairing: Platonic!?Jason Todd x Fem! Reader x Roy Harper

A/N: For anyone who doesn't read comics, Emiko is Oliver Queen's Half sister. The new Red Arrow. Italics are your thoughts. 

"BOOM! HEADSHOT!" You yelled into the mic as you threw your hands into the air.

"You're cheating aren't you, y/n," Your best friend, Jason, said through the headset. You stifle a laugh and continued to play the game. "Not my fault I'm the best!" You boasted.

You heard a sigh and a chuckle. "You're lucky that I like you y/n."

"I like you to Jay, but you know. As a friend. Cause I have a bf." you replied nonchalantly. It was no secret that you had a major crush on Jason Todd, but he had Artemis and you had Roy.

"Yeah, hows Roy by the way?" He asked with a hint of hurt in his voice.

"Roy is fine he misses you though. You should talk to him sometime." You replied, pausing the game when you heard the front door open. "I know, but... I don't know."

"Jason Peter Todd, you are a confusing person," You said. Just as you said that Roy came into the apartment with Emiko tailing behind him.  "Hey babe, hey Emi," you said while covering the mic.

"Hey y/n, who are you talking to?" Roy asked.

"Awww is Arsenal jealous?" Emiko taunted. You rolled your eyes and uncovered the game and unpaused the game. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Roy throw his hat at Emi. You chuckled and unpaused the game. "Speaking of the devil, Jaybird, would you like to talk to Roy?"

Roys' head shot up at the mention of his best friends nickname. He ran past Emi and jumped over the couch and took the headset off your head making you miss your shot. He took the headset and put it on himself before also taking the Xbox control from you. "Hey Jaybird!" He said.

You glared at your boyfriend before getting off the couch and walking towards Emi. You met Emi when she broke into your apartment to yell at Roy so he could tell Oliver to stop treating her like a kid. She would talk to you about her problems and you would talk to her about your problems. Emi also knew about your crush on Jason. 

"Hey y/n," Emi said as you sat down next to her.

"Emi, I have no clue what to do," you said exasperatedly. She looked at you before picking up Roy's hat and dusting it off.

"I'm just a kid, I know nothing about love."

You looked at her and sighed. "It's just a crush, right? I really don't love him or anything." You said low enough so Roy doesn't hear you.

After Roy and Jason had played about what seemed hours on your Xbox, Roy gave you back the headset and controller before taking Emi back to Oliver's place. You put the headset on and apologized to Jason for Roy's behavior. You two talked for another twenty minutes before he had to leave to go on patrol. The both of you said your goodbyes and disconnected.

That night you laid in your bed as you stared at the ceiling thinking about what you should do. You tried to convince yourself it was just a silly high school crush, but your heart told you otherwise. After an hour of trying to sleep you got your phone out and looked at the time. Currently, it was 12 am. Roy should be back from patrol, You thought. Twenty minutes later you heard your bedroom window open. You turned around and saw Roy coming in. 

You smiled to yourself and thought, yeah, it's just a stupid crush.
