Ryan's POV

I can't believe I sent Reece down, and for Louis. It just came over me, I couldn't let Louis take the blame for Reece's crime. He had been there for me as a kid and even though I was a total bitch to him recently he still stood by me.

I sat on the seat in the living room drinking my smoothie seen as I couldn't eat anything solid. I had to stick with liquefied food. I didn't like intruding in Louis and his families lives. I was determined to go to school today but they weren't too keen.

"No Ryan, you are not going to school today you are injured," Louis stated.

'I don't care I'm not staying here today. Louis you have a choice, you either drive me to school or I will walk' I wrote on my board.

"But Ryan..." He whinned.

'But Louis' I wrote frowning.

"Okay you can go, as long as I stay with you all the time," He bargined.

'Fine' I wrote letting out a sigh.

"Okay we should get going then," He smiled.

'Okay' I wrote placing my smoothie on the side.

Soon enough we were at school and everyone was staring at me, although I must say I think Louis looked the funniest carrying my handbag.

Everyone was whispering and I obviously knew it was about me. I was sick of it. I was supposed to be popular and all I ever wanted was to fit in but I got that and now I've lost it.

Everyone had different ideas on how I got like this a few were:

"She cheated on Ashley so she got what was coming to her,"

"Ashley is a woman beater and he almost killed Ryan,"

"Louis rough, he probably tried killing her,"

They made me laugh a bit but I just walked with my crutches until we got to our class room.

"Ryan, what happened?" The teacher asked as I entered the room.

"Hi, Miss. Ryan has a wired jaw so she can't talk and I'm helping her around," Louis smiled.

"Okay, please take your seats," She smiled back and gave me a weird look that was a mix or concern and confusion.

Louis led me to our seats and we sat there. He talked and talked about something but I blanked out and ended up just staring at the wall next to me. There was a picture of a door with the quote 'If opportunity doesn't come knocking thena build a door'. It was inspirtational.

I stared at it for a few minutes until I was shook and I came around and saw Louis.

"Ryan, Miss is talking to you," He whispered.

My head snapped over to the teacher who was sat at her desk with a woman standing by her desk.

"Ryan can you come here please," She demanded.

I stood up and walked over to her desk.

"Hello Ryan, I am Elizabeth Monroe and I am from social services," The woman said.

My eyes bulged and Louis was next to me within seconds.

"What is this about?" Louis asked.

"And you are?" Elizabeth asked politely.

"Her childhood friend," He stated.

"Okay, Ryan would you like Louis to be with us through this discussion?" She asked.

I looked at him and he had pleading eyes. I nodded.

"Okay if you follow me, your head teacher said we can use their office," She said leading the way to the office. When we entered she took a seat one side of the desk and we sat on the other.

"Okay do you know why I'm here?" She asked.

Me and Louis shook our heads.

"Okay well Reece has been found and is now in a holding cell waiting for his court date," She stated.

I was relieved they had caught him but I just wanted to cry but I held in all emotion and stared blankly.

"Oh and seen as your parents are no longer here you have no family left so you are going to be taken into care," She said softly.

I pulled my whiteboard and pen out and scrawled, 'What about the will?'

"Well your parents left you with your brother but now that is unavailable we checked into your brothers but he never wrote one so you are left to go into care and a temporary care home," She smiled lightly.

"But will this be far away? She can't leave and go anywhere else I am all she has," Louis said angrily.

"It will be local enough for her to proceed in coming here," Elizabeth smiled.

'But I don't want to move,' I wrote frowning.

"I'm sorry Ryan but it is nessercary and you'll be taken to temporary foster parents until a more permetnant establishment is offered," She stated.

"Don't worry Ryan, we'll do something about it," Louis whispered hugging me.

'When am I moving in with the family?' I wrote looking at the woman.

"Today, you and your friend may go and pack your stuff and then your new home is 34 Love Lane. It is just round the corner to where you used to live. It is Angela and Peter Richard. They have three sons about your age," She smiled. I nodded and me and Louis left the school and went to his car before we went to my house. The whole ride he was trying to persaude me to run away with him but I refused and I knew I'd go through this foster care until I could legally go on my own at the age of 18.
