The First Day Of Our Last Year

Zina's POV ..

I woke up on the annoying sound of my alarm ,, I'm a morning person and I know that's awkward but the only hard part In the morning Is to leave the bed and the warm blankets but once I have enough courage to get up and leave my bed there's no problem with me with the rest of the day

I 'm very eager to meet Dylan and Demi ,, My two Best friends

I missed them so much since I didn't get to see them often In summer ,, both of them had to travel with their families

this is our first day in our last year in high school ,, Finally high school drama will come to an end soon

I got up and entered the bathroom,, brushing my teeth then I got in the shower enjoying the cold water

that's another awkward fact about me , I don't like hot water I like the cold one ,it helps me more to relax
I rubbed my hair with shampoo and Massaged my body with my vanilla Body Lotion and then turned the water off wrapping a towel around my body getting out of the bathroom

I got dressed in a cute Dress and sandals

letting my brown hair down

I headed down stairs to be meet with my lovely Aunt Nickole , she was cooking breakfast and it smelled good ,, my aunt has been always a good cooker

she takes care of me .. she loves me and treats me like I was her daughter although she's single ,, she always tells me that she didn't find the right one and I respected it

I kissed her cheek

"hey auntie" I said smiling

"hey sweet heart ,, did you sleep well last night ??" she asked me smiling back

"yeah ,,  " I smiled thinking about when I'll meet Dylan and Demi today

"good now eat your breakfast so you won't be late on your first day Missy ,," she said jokingly

I chuckled at my aunt ,she could be really cute sometime .. only when she's in a good mood

I ate my breakfast but when I finished and I was about to leave the kitchen ,, I remembered that I forgot my phone in my room

" I think i forgot my phon " I frowned running upstairs

"okay sweetie just hurry up so you won't be late huh "my aunt shouted so I could hear her

I picked up my phone off my bed but when I took it and I was about to go out

I felt something wrong ,, a cold breeze brushed against my cheeks sending shivers down my spine making my body shudder

I noticed that my balcony's door was wide open although I remember that I closed it ,,

when I was about to close It something caught my eyes

I was really shocked when I saw a boy with  black hair standing in his balcony staring at me from that house that was right across from us

I knew that this house was empty for years ,, my aunt told me the owners of the house died long time ago and since then no one came to even look around the house

my heart almost stopped atthe moment when I saw his eyes because i think it was red

I blinked to check that I wasn't imagining things but when I blinked his eyes were back to normal .. I couldn't tell what colour his eyes were exactly because I was far away from him

I snapped out of thoughts when he smirked at me and I didn't know why

but I felt scared ,, I turned around quickly and slammed the balcony's door shut running downstairs ..

"what's wrong zina ,, Is everything is okay?!" aunt Nicole said concerned

"yes aunt I just thought I lost my phone ,, anyway I guess we have neighbours now" I announced not really excited as i picked up my back bag

" neighbours? ,, what do you mean ? " Aunt Nickole asked with a frown

" the house across from us ,, there's a boy - " I didn't get to finish my sentence as I heard a car horn

I smiled immediately knowing it was Dylan's jeep ..

" I'll explain later or I'll be late " I said as I kissed her cheek heading to the door not leaving her a chance to reply

i opened the door and got out to find Dylan leaning on the passenger seat grinning like an idiot ,, as soon as he saw me he opened his arms for me

I ran and hugged him tightly around his waist  putting my head against his toned strong chest smiling

"hey D i missed you so much you little idiot " I said as I pulled away pinching his cheeks

" Aw Aw ,, Stop that I'm not a baby " he slapped my hands away lightly rolling his eyes at me making me laugh

" I really miss you ,, you grumpy pants " I said causing him to pull me in a hug

"I missed you so much too Z" he chuckled lifting me of ground for couple of seconds .. he placed me down pulling away ruffling my hair causing me to let out a groan .. I really hate when he does that but he always does

" now we're equaled . now, let's go pick up demi or she'll kill us for being late" Dylan said smiling then he jogged to the driver seat

I smiled but while I was opening my door I took a glance at the other house's balcony .. and to my surprise the scary boy was still there and he was staring at me angrily which caused my smile to drop and my heart to race

I felt the same cold breeze from earlier as he kept his angry gaze on me ,, after a couple of seconds he stepped inside his room slamming the balcony's door shut

" Zina hurry up we don't have the whole day ,, move your lazy ass " Dylan shouted snapping me out of my thoughts

I opened the car door and when I got in

Dylan took off down the street with concerned eyes

" What's wrong ? " He asked moving his gaze from the road to me

" nothing I guess we are having neighbours " I mumbled looking out of the window ,,

" What neighbours ,, I remember you told me that no one lives in the house that's across from yours " Dylan replied with a frown trying to keep his eyes on the road

" I don't know ,, and I don't care " I shrugged simply trying to shut down this conversation because I didn't really like the subject

the smile made it's way to my face when Dylan pulled over ,, we saw Demi ,, she was already waiting for us in front of her front door smiling like an idiot ,, she got in kissing both mine and Dylan's cheeks

"hey guys ,, you don't know how much I missed both of you " she said pouting 

"we missed you two " I said pouting too

"ready for the first day of our last year in this hell hole girls" Dylan said excitedly

"as ready as we'll ever be " me and Demi said together smiling proudly at each other

with that we arrived at school parking lot ,, I hope our first day will pass perfectly because I guess I don't need any drama today ,, I had enough this morning
