PEOPLE COME IN ALL SIZES AND DISGUISES.
She wears black, she must be an emo
She listens to rock music, I bet she worships Satan
She wears a head scarf , she must be a terrorist
He wears eyeliner, he must be gay
Labels, we all put labels on people
why do we do it?
we don't look beyond the label
we don't see the person inside
we hurl abuse at them
because they don't fit in
You don't see the damage you cause
when you pick on the overweight kid
at the back of the class
who cares, he has no feelings
what you don't see are the tears
the hurt in his eyes
but you can't look beyond the label
why must we label people
and put them in catagories
Where is your label, what are you hiding
what we don't see is her tears
she sits alone razor in hand
slowly cutting away her label.
