Bitch

People may think I'm a bitch,
some even may say I'm a bitch,
that I can't keep my goddamn opinions,
to myself.

When I see injustice in society,
my heckles will rise,
my mouth will open,
profanities may fall out,
I make no excuse,
for my behaviour.

If you walked a mile,
in my shoes,
you would be that person,
I'm not an angry girl,
just a concerned citizen.

You see crap everyday,
on the news,
on the streets,
another child dies of starvation,
another rape, a life never the same again
another bomb,
dropped in the name of a so called religion,
another violent attack, in the name of homophobia,
another mother cries, for the loss of her child,
beaten to death for being the wrong colour.

Pardon me for speaking out,
for kicking up a fuss,
who will dry her tears, hold her close.
The man upstairs,
gave us all a voice,
we need to use it.

Hell yeah! I will speak,
I will be a bitch,
call you out on your shit,
If that gets your attention,
you might just listen.

You may think I'm a bitch,
you may even call me a bitch,
No I won't keep my opinions to myself,
because I am a Bitch.
