Tip 24: Unknown

As Chase and I got to Green Point, everyone- and by everyone, I mean, Chase's team mates were looking at us including Vee who was currently beside Matt, his right arm around her shoulder. I rolled my eyes at the view.

The guys were sitting on the couch right at the corner smirking, my best friend is raising her eyebrows and stuff. Matt was eyeing at me and giving me dirty looks. Chase and I were holding hands and I know what Matt is thinking right at the moment.

Kinalas ko ang aking kamay mula sa pagkakahawak ng aking nobyo at saka ako pumunta sa authorized area to report to work. Bumalik agad ako sa table nila after changing my clothes to my work uniform. 7PM pa lamang kaya wala gaanong katao-tao sa pub.

I gritted my teeth while I approached their table.

"Usual drinks, guys?" tanong ko sa kanila, trying my very best to sound naturally sweet as possible.

The guys were messing at each other and glanced over at me when they heard my voice.

"Yeah, salamat Jasmin," Dan replied and I smiled.

While Dan answered politely for the group, Matt was not so polite as he said, "Oo naman, sweetheart."

I cringed. Mukhang alam nito na ang bulgar nitong ugali ay naghahatid ng kakaibang inis sa akin, and he played it up whenever I was around. Always.

Vee just laughed and so as Chase. I just ignored Matt's remarks and kept my cool.

Feeling like I was not going to answer him, he continued. "Ang akala ko ba ay kinamumuhian mo si Chase pero bakit parang nag iba yata ang ihip ng hangin ngayon?"

I was trying my best to make my expression even. I just stood there, trying to convince myself to stay calm as possible.

"Baka sa susunod niyan ay ako naman ang magustuhan mo. Maganda kasi iyong love-hate relationship." Dagdag pa nito, halatang sinusukat kung saan aabot ang aking pagkainis dito.

I didn't give him a chance to get to me though. I just closed my mouth.

"Dude, alam mo namang kay Chase lang umaamo 'yang si Jasmin. I'm pretty sure you missed the opportunity." Rex snorted and my eyes instantly went to look at him.

"Ano kaya ang ginawa ni Chase at naging pusa ang noo'y isang tigre? Baka kaya ko ring gawin iyon." Matt replied, making my head to turn to him again.

Lumaglag ang aking panga habang nakikinig sa kanilang pag-uusap. Were they really discussing this right in front of me? Of Chase and Vee?

"Mali ka. Sa palagay ko ay si Chase lang ang may kakayahan niyan kaya wala kang pag-asa." Panggagatong pa ni Ethan.

I felt like the colors in my face left and I gaped at them, totally out of words.

I looked at Chase asking for help but to no avail. Tumatawa lang ito na tila ba ay sumasabay sa trip ng barkada nito.

"Sayang. Naibigay ko na sana sa kanya ang buwan at mga bituin sa langit." Umakto namang parang nasasaktan si Matt.

Ipinatong ni Matt ang kamay nito sa tuhod ni Vee na noo'y sapo sapo na ang kanyang tiyan sa kakatawa. My bestfriend was also having fun just like everyone. I was just out of place dahil ako lang ang hindi naaaliw dito.
