DYLAN’S POV
“Yes.. Yes po.. Of course not! It’s just a huge misinterpretation by the media..” sabi ni Beth sa kausap niya sa cellphone while pacing back and forth of the room. She’s been talking to every media people that she knows just to clear my name about the issue mula pa nang dumating ako dito sa office niya kanina pang umaga. “uh-hm.. NO! no! Hindi po.. Yes.. He’s just too busy po right at this moment so he can’t give his side of the story”she paused and put her hand on her pocket. “but definitely mag-eexplain po ang ating superstar.” she gave me a meaningful look. “Alam niyo naman po napakabusy ng isang Dylan Caine, he rarely have time to wind up and relax kaya hindi totoo yung lumalabas na balita.. Yes, that’s for sure.. Thank you, thank you din! Be at his party tonight and maybe you could interview him. Alright! Bye.” she tossed her phone in the table before collapsing to her swivel chair.
She remained silent while examining me.
I raised a brow.
“What now?! Every minute may tumatawag na reporter dito para hingin ang panig mo sa issue, tapos ikaw ano? Tataasan mo lang ako ng kilay mo? HA?!” sigaw niya sa akin. Halatang-halata sa mukha niya ang iritasyon at stress.
“What? You won’t allow me to speak to them..” depensa ko. She forbid me to say any comment about the issue habang hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap.
“Ano ba kasing pumasok sa kokote mo at ginawa mo yung ginawa mo kahapon?! Nababaliw ka na ba?!”
“You asked the same question 15 minutes ago, and I will still give you the same answer.. Gusto ko lang silang tulungan, they were from Hacienda Nicasia, which was were I came from, at anak ng malayong kamag-anak ko yung baby na nawawala, nagmalasakit lang ako.” sagot ko sa kanya. She looked like she’s not buying any word that I say so she keeps asking me the same question repeatedly, I think she’s expecting that I’d be blurting out the real reason. But, the statement I said was the real reason. Yung ang ipinipilit ni Chloe na sabihin ko. Pero kung ako lang ang masusunod, mas gugustuhin ko pang magsabi na lang ng totoo.
“Sa tingin mo ba madaling maniniwala ang media sa dahilan mo? The cameras captured your reactions yesterday!”
“I don’t care if they won’t believe me, basta yun ang nangyari, it’s up to them kung anong gusto nilang sabihin.”
