He sneaks out late when his parents think he's studying. He's done everything that a good boy shouldn't do, but he's careful. He plays it off at school, dresses in khakis, sweater vests, slicks his hair back, and wears big glasses to play off the image that he's some big nerd. He plays it off as though he doesn't party, that he's a straight A student with a grade A attitude. He plays it off well, hiding various tattoos with long sleeves and taking out his lip piercing in fear of his parents disapproval.
He goes out almost every night to practice with his band which luckily enough none of them go to the same school as Luke, until their new drummer happns to go to Luke's high school.
