You know the type. They're the ones, that when you put a long and compelling response to some controversial topic, that put something along the lines of 'Wow, you obviously have no clue what you're talking about. Why are you even here if you don't get the topic?'.
So, they're sort of double ignorant. And it drives you crazy.
I know it drives me crazy, anyway. But, I mean, you only do that if you don't know how to think up a good response and want to make it look like the other person's the stupid one.
I do get it when someone says something completely off topic and stupid and you say 'um, no. what are you doing here?'. That actually makes sense. But if you don't know how to respond to something, just admit it. At some point in your life, you won't know something, and you have to be able to own up to it and say 'you know, I honestly don't know. I'll try to learn more about it and get back to you later.' It just makes more sense, even if it does bring your pride down a few notches.
