Fakers

I think we all know one. There's this one person that you see, or maybe talk to, that is completely and utterly fake. Everything about them. They tell the people on this site a sob story, and then people believe them, so they follow them.

They'll pretend that they're depressed, or pretend that they're different than who they really are.

I understand that people being depressed and having suicidal thoughts are very serious matters. But sometimes? Sometimes I'll see something that doesn't connect, and it's so obvious that they're lying or making it up. Just to get fans. Which, might I add, is not what WP is about. Yes, I love followers just as much as everyone else, but I prefer it's a follow because of my works or because of my personality or just the way I do things. Honestly, though. I just get so confused with these types of things. If you're depressed and all you can think about is suicide and how much you hate life, go talk to someone, please. But talk to someone that can actually help you.

People on here aren't psychiatrists, they can't help you, I hate to say it. I understand that words of encouragement can go a long way, but they probably won't pull you out of a depression.

I mean all of this in the most respectful way possible. Writing helps some people, it's understandable. If it's real. But, if you're just on here because you want people to follow you and tell you how good you are? I don't care how you accomplish  that task, but please don't lie to the entire site.

Another thing. Just other fakers in general, I suppose.

Be who you really are on this site.

I can relate if you don't write a lot outside of Wattpad, that's not what I mean. I'm talking about coming on here and talking to people like you would face-to-face. Show respect on this site (another thing I'll rant about later). If you like writing, then write! If you like talking to people and interacting, then go for it! No one's going to stop you. But when you do, don't go and act differently than you would if you could really talk to people. Does that make sense?

It's something well-known on the internet. Everything you put on here can be accessed forever. What I'm writing right now can be accessed later. Whether it's a rude comment, or cussing, or whatever, just remember that. People can look back at this stuff. So, once again, don't say anything you wouldn't say face-to-face to someone.

Whew. I think that about covers it. Sorry if I offended anyone. The first subject up there was a little touchy, I suppose, but I meant to be completely respectful. I do understand that it does happen for real sometimes, so know that I'm not talking to you when I say that.
