Chapter 20

Nagising ako ng umaga nang magkayakap padin kami. My body is almost on top of his. Marahan kong hinawakan ang kanya pisngi, noo at leeg. Tuluyan ng nawala ang sakit niya. Thank goodness.

"Good morning." He said with a husky voice.

"How do you feel?"

Ngumiti siya at hinigpitan ang pagkakayakap sakin. "More than great."

This is everything. I want to wake up every morning with him by my side.

Ayoko pa sanang umalis sa posisyon namin pero kailangan na naming bumangon. Good thing both of our class will start at 11 o'clock in the morning. Pwede pa kong makauwi sa bahay para magpalit at makuha ang mga gamit ko.

"Wait for me. I'll just take a bath. Ihahatid kita tapos sabay na tayong pumasok." Ngumiti ako sa kanya. We're officially back together so look at him now, clingy masyado.

Hindi na ko tumanggi. After niyang mag-ayos, umalis na agad kami pauwi sa bahay ko. He offered to drive my car. Pagkadating namin sa bahay, ako naman ang kumilos para mag-ayos. He waited for me inside my room. This is his first time to be in here.

"Are you not going to stay at my place?" napatingin ako sa kanya mula salamin. Yes, I used to live there since we are married. Pero iba na ang sitwasyon ngayon.

"Would you mind if I say no?" tuluyan na kong humarap sa kanya. "I think it would be better if we stay like this for now. Tsaka na siguro natin isipin ang bagay na yan kapag pareho na tayong tapos sa pag-aaral. I-I hope you understand." I won't mind kung magsama ulit kami pero iniisip ko ang kapakanan niya. He's doing well when I was not around him at ayokong sirain yun. I don't want to distract him and what he is about to achieve.

Tumango lang siya. "So, I still have to wait for another two years para makasama ka."

"Are we not?"

"You are married to me but we live in different house."

Lumapit ako sa kanya at hinawakan ang magkabila niyang balikat. "Isipin mo nalang, magboyfriend/girlfriend lang tayo. And we're not yet allowed to live under the same roof unless we finish our studies. Tsaka, dapat kapag nagsama na tayo, kaya mo ng bumuhay ng pamilya." He laugh at what I said.

"Oh hell, I have all the resources to provide for our living. I can give you a family right now, you know? Ikaw nalang ang kulang." He held my chin up and claimed my lips.

Pagkadating ng university, hindi ako pumayag na sabay kaming lalabas ng sasakyan. Marami ng estudyante ngayon forsure marami ang makakakita saamin. Iniwan ko siya sa gate kaya napilitan siyang maglakad papasok.

Days passed at halos hindi na kami nagkikita dahil sobrang busy na with the school stuffs, lalo na siya. Dagdag pa na parating na ang midterms kaya puro text at tawag nalang ang ginagawa namin. This is what I'm talking about, we still have to live our own lives and we have to deal with it first. I know we both understand our set-up right now.

Weekend, I promised to the girls and even to Zai and Sid na manonood ako ng game nila. Second half na ang naabutan ko dahil late na nagdismiss yung last subject namin. I was looking for them on the crowd when suddenly a girl approached me.

Si Jas.

"Hanikka!" She looked so delighted when she saw me. "Did you receive my message?" She's probably talking about her birthday.

"Uhm, yes." Tumango ako.

"I'll expect you tomorrow ha! Your friends already confirmed their attendance. Don't forget to bring spare clothes and bikini, okay?"
