Joey's POV:
She remembered. How cute!
The director had us all line up around the circular room. The lights turned on and the cameras were rolling.
"Welcome to season 24 of the amazing race! This season we have your favorite teams from previous seasons competing for the chance to win 1 million dollars!" the announcer exclaimed.
I was still holding Meghan's hand. I looked over to see her wincing in pain.
"Joey..could..you....loosen....your grip a little?" she asked.
"Oh! Sorry...I..Uh....I'm just a little nervous."
"Don't be. We can do this."
*1 week later*
"Joey.Meghan. I am sorry but....you are the last team to arrive... therefore, you have been eliminated," the announcer says in a sad tone.
I look over to Meghan and see a tear roll down her cheek. I pull her into a tight hug and talk for her.
"This has been such an amazing experience, and I'm so glad that we got a second try. To all of our viewers, we are sorry we let you down."
Meghan looks at the camera, throws up a peace sign and gives a sad smile. Her eyes are still red.
"See ya later Burries," she says wiping her nose on her sleeve.
