Chapter 2: ~Punch The Hen~
The day drags on till finally I make my way to my locker after the final bell. I turn the knob for my combo and open my locker to find Rider's video camera in my locker.
I take it in my hand and grab my backpack with my other. I close my locker and walk to the front doors of our school waiting for Dani and Rider.
A few minutes later they come running down the hall and Dani tackles me to the floor.
"Can I help you?" I ask her
"Uh yeah you can. Next time you can get out of the way." She jokes
I can only tell she was joking by the way she said that.
She gets up and helps me to my feet.
"Who's ready for Punch The Hen?" Rider asks
"I am!" I shout raising my hand in the air and Rider high fives it
"Not me." Dani says with a frown on her face
"Come on Dani. It's going to be okay. We can go shopping after and we can record it all." I suggest standing next to her with my arm around her shoulders
I only said that so she will play Punch The Hen.
"Alright! I need some people to tell me how I look!" She says excitedly and I exchange a nervous glance with Rider
Together the three of us walk outside and hop in Rider's old beat up car. I sit shotgun while Dani rides in the backseat.
"So how are we going to start this?" Dani asks from the backseat
"Like we always do. dancing around like we are retarded. You know the normal We_Shining_Stars us. There's no other way we would start the video Dani." I say turning around in my seat to look at Dani
"You preach it Jay." Rider says from the drivers seat and Dani rolls her eyes while Rider and I laugh
If I could go back to the day I first met Dani and Rider I wouldn't change it for the world. These guys are like family to me even though I have my mom and my older sister. But I can relate better to Dani and Rider.
The rest of the ride is quiet, a little to quiet if you know what I mean. Rider drops Dani off at her house first, she grabs her backpack says goodbye and takes off towards her front door.
"You know the ladies first rule don't you?" He asks me with cheesy smile
"Of course I do dude." I say punching him in the arm
"Just making sure." He says
He pulls into my driveway and I hop out and wave to him as I walk up to my front door. I push open the door and close it behind me and lean against.
It seemed like the hours went be so fast. Because before I know it Dani and Rider show up at my door for our next video on YouTube.
"Who's ready to get their Punch The Hen on?" Rider says with a huge grin on his face and Dani just rolls her eyes
We walk into my living room and Dani and Rider take a seat on the couch while I sit on the floor in front of them. The red light comes on and we all jump to our feet but Dani pushes me to the floor trying to get past me.
I grab her ankle and pull her down as well. That's what you get.
"Guys. This isn't a time for fighting we are supposed to be dancing." Rider says doing the disco and both Dani and I can't help but laugh
I push myself up from the floor and face the camera.
"Hey guys! It's us! We_Shining_Stars." I say and Rider and Dani press their faces right next to mine so I'm in the middle
Rider picks the camera up off the table and points it at Dani.
"You all know our pampered princess Dani." He says and she ignores that comment and just smiles and waves to the camera
"Then we have our...uh I don't have anything for you Jay." Rider say pointing the camera to me
"You don't have to have a name for.." But before I can finish my sentence he continues to talk
"Oh I got it! Then we have our cowardly lion Jay."
"Oh I'll show you cowardly." I say rolling up my sweatshirt sleeves with my hands
"Oh crap." Rider says passing the camera over to Dani and he takes off running down the hall
"I'm going to get you, you little rat." I say and take off after him with Dani behind me recording the whole thing
"This is so much better than Punch The Hen." Dani says pointing to Rider sitting in a ball in the corner of the room as I stand over him
But when she says that Rider look up at me with a smirk and I return the same one to him. He gets to his feet and we both walk over to Dani.
"Uh what's going on?" She questions a little nervous
Both Rider and I punch her square in the shoulder and yell "HEN!" Then take off running back down the hall with Dani following us.
This is how it is for us pretty much everyday unless I have some sport I'm playing or Rider is watching who knows what on his laptop all alone in his room away from everyone else in his family or for Dani who has swim team and yearbook.
But yet sometimes I ask myself how did we even become friends, we are so much different to one another. But I know the answer to that and her name starts with a D, can you guess?
We continue on with our video by playing Punch The Hen and each time Rider or I was it we both punched Dani. Yeah today isn't her day, oh well. She will get over it.
"Well that's for this video." Rider says
"Peace!" I say like a sumo wrestler
We end the video right there and Dani gives both of us the death stare and we both give her weak smiles.
