Lilith

What a lovely little comparison people make,
A demon,
The true nature behind any woman,
God how silly to think they are anything else!
After all it was Lilith who decided not to lie with Adam in submission.

  Ah yes!
That's where it all began,
When Adam paid no mind,
And Lilith unfaithful to her designed purpose,
What else could it have been?

  Silly women have no worries,
Who they hurt,
And how they're affected,
What are people to them?
It's not as if they can convey compassion for others?
What is trust to a woman?
Paper thin I suppose.

  Or maybe,
Just maybe,
The Liliths of this planet are the ones who feel the most,
How every decision made leading up to the Rejection and ones after were calculated.
How every emotion is felt from those decisions,
How the Pain of being thrown out of comfort and the Known,
Was perhaps the only way Adam would truly wake up.

  But he still sleeps,
Sleeps in paradise,
While Lilith wanders the Unknown,
Branded a Devil,
For only doing what she thought right.

  How silly a woman,
To follow her mind when the heart was beaten so bloody,
What a silly little minx,
Don't you know to be faithful?
When comfort was painful,
But Known pain at least.

  What a silly little Devil,
How silly indeed,
Now the cold world is gonna teach you,
Teach you how to bleed.

Author's Note:
Sleep is an option when thoughts swirl around in your head. Sometimes putting them to paper makes things a little more clear for the next morning to come.
