I added a bit for those of you waiting while I work on the next portion! Just a fun section I wrote at the beginning back in October.

Once we were back in town, we stopped by Dunkin Doughnuts for a coffee. I studied what Antanie was wearing as we sat.

He was wearing a tribal Aztec patterned, purple grey and white jacket, and over that a denim vest, and dark blue jeans. He had an interesting style. You know those clothing items and accessories people had, and loved but never wore out? Ant wore them and rocked them.

My phone buzzed. I took it out of my pocket. My mom had texted me that she was on her way home. “I gotta go.”

            “Aiight. See you round.”

I got up from my seat to leave. “I’ll see your ugly ass.”

            “Pancake face ass.”

“Bitch yo old mosquito rat face ass.” I began walking away.

            “Smooth bacon cake face ass”

“Yo old fish tank pencil sharpener head ass.” I stopped and looked back at him.

            “Hot bullet grape face ass”

“Yo eggplant quintuplet drop top cool whip doggy peddle face ass” I lingered at the door, watching him.

He kissed his teeth, looked around, then looked back at me. “Girl get the fuck out here wit yo microwave honey soup, snack pack, buy one get two free, shoe face, brick sausage head ass!”

I laughed. “You got it. That’s funny.”

            “Fuck you.”

“Fuck your chicken nugget head ass too.”

I pushed open the door, heading out. He called after me, “Screen cake, moonpie head ass!”

I just shook my head at him, smiling.
