“What are we doing?” I studied the 49th Street Motel where Antanie had pulled into.

“You wanna sleep in the car?”

            “Um, are we even allowed?”

“Damn Prom Queen. You stay followin’ the rules.”

“Yeah. Well rules are meant to be followed.”

“Rules are meant to be broken.”

I raised my eyebrows. “Whatever. But all I have is my school backpack. I don’t have any pajamas and there is no way I’m sleeping naked.”

            Ant just looked at me.

            “What? I’m serious.”

“Fine.” He said, pulling out of the parking lot. “We’ll go shoppin first.”

            “Shopping?”

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a wad of cash.

            “What the fuck?”

He looked at me out of the corner of his eye. “I didn’t go to the convenience store to pick up something lame like a water.” Was all he said.

“Holy shit Ant. There’s gotta be like a thousand dollars right there!”

            “Twenty-five hundred.”

When I didn’t say anything, he just put the cash back into his pocket and turned on his music.
