I am so so so so so so sorry I have not continued this! I forgot! I have school and I have to write a monologue for a thing at school along with assignments and it is so cold right now! It is freezing! I feel like an ice block 80% of the time! Why must it be so hot in summer and storming in winter?! Most of Australia doesn't even get snow! What did we Australians do to deserve this?!!?!?!??!?!? *whispering* so cold...

Also I am drawing my own fanart (I know, it's stupid) for this book. I have recently found coloured pencils and a sharpener so I am drawing pictures for this story.

Now, that's enough stuff. On with the chapter.

The twins walked into Kenzou's room when they found that the door was unlocked.

"Kenzou?" Evan asked. But they saw Kenzou was asleep in his bed. Ethan looked at his brother.

"I feel like we're bad at this."

"Bad at what, brother?"

"Being his mates. We don't even know that much about him other than he was abused for years, his biological mother was dead, he's really 14 and that he is three breeds in one body."

"Don't say we are bad at being his mates... we are doing okay, aren't we?"

"I mean.. we are four years older than him. What are we thinking. Having a small 14-year-old as a mate? We're insane. The universe is insane. We can't obviously mate with him. And yet.." He hugged himself as his brother walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "There are so many dangers out to get him. So many things have happened to him since he met us. He's been in so much pain." Ethan looked over at the small boy sleeping on his side, hair sprawled out on the pillows. "He lost his familiar, his imaginary friend, he was in pain when he transformed. We can't protect him from everything that tries to harm him." A tear ran down the male's face and his brother hugged him close.

"Don't talk like that, Ethan. If we never took him in, he would still be with that bitch of a step-mother. His father hasn't been in his life for years, even Kenzou doesn't know where he is. If we never took him in.. he could possibly be dead right now."

Before Kenzou left his house, he heard his step-mother on the phone talking about killing him in a few days. He ran out of the house, talking to Limbo.

"I think my mother wants to kill me..." He spoke.

"He's just a little broken. He gets sick easier, he is weak in human form, he is smaller than other kids his age, he is more emotional than others." Evan continued.

"But we can't do anything." Ethan whispered harshly, another tear falling. "He is barely even human. There is barely anything or anyone like Kenzou. He is special, he is strong in supernatural form. If he unleashes all of his power, he can lose his humanity, Evan. He will become a real monster. He won't be sane. All he has holding him to his sanity is a thin thread that can snap at any given moment and he will fall into a world of misery, anger, regret, pain and darkness. He won't be able to think anymore, Evan. He won't.... he won't be able to remember anything..."

His brother spoke with so much emotion that it brought tears to Evan's eyes. He looked into the eyes of his younger brother.

"But just remember this.... Ethan... we are the ones slowly lowering more thread for him to hang onto. We will help him crawl out of the hole that is the threat of losing his humanity."

"You don't understand, Evan!" Ethan nearly shouted, momentarily forgetting Kenzou was in the room. "We are the ones that are grabbing scissors and cutting the thread until he falls! He will fall into the darkness of pain and misery and we can't do anything about it! We made him go deaf for fucks sake! Don't you think that's enough?! We have caused him to cry so many times! We have caused him pain so many times!"

"Ethan? Evan?" A weak, frail voice asked them. They looked over at where Kenzou was sitting up in his bed. "What's going on? Why're you fighting? Is it because of me?" The young boy asked sleepily, rubbing his eyes.

"No, sweetie." Evan walks over to him, face with tears.

"Of course not. We are just having some tough times right now but we will figure it out." Ethan added, sitting down next to the boy.

"Oh.. okay." Kenzou replied, looking down at his blanket-covered lap. "Wanna sleep next to me?"

Ethan and Evan nodded, smiling. They took off their shoes and the three all lay in the bed together, the twins on either side of Kenzou.

Kenzou's eyes slowly closed shut. Leaving the twins to their thoughts.

Evan's last thought: He is  just frail and weak. We need to protect him no matter what.

Ethan's last thought: There hasn't been anything or anyone like Kenzou. We don't know what he needs.
