(3rd person P.O.V.)

Michael was absolutely dumbfounded at Gavin's return, and Gavin was skittish and even a little neurotic at the sight of Michael. Both of them, scared of what the very near future would bring.

Both of them, questioning wether or not their friendship would end in turmoil or love. The guys had been standing right behind Michael, but quickly decided to give them privacy. Michael sat down at his desk next to Gavin. It was all too much for him, too many emotions; he didn't know whether to cry or scream or yell or do anything.

Michael started to tear up and his voice grew shaky and timid.

"Before we go any further, I just need for you to answer me one question."

Gavin gave him a gentle nod to procede with his question.

"After all we said to each other, after I poured my feelings to you, why would you just ignore me? Why would go and declare your love for someone else, and display it all over the internet just so you could tell me you didn't love me back?" Tears were now streaming down Michael's face.

"I never meant to hurt you. I would never, ever purposely hurt you. None of this should have happened at all. I didn't know that Dan could be capable of hurting you or me like this."

"Dan?" Michael questioned.

"Over the time of us exchanging letters, Dan had been hiding the letters you sent to me and ignoring your skype calls. I honestly thought you were ignoring me, and it made me quite sad. Dan, in efforts to make me feel better, took me out for bevs and I got hammered. In fact I was so hammered that I honestly thought I was kissing you. I know you probably don't believe me, and that's okay, but believe me when I say that you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you with all my heart and honestly, I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have you."

Gavin was spewing a river of apologizes and "I love you's" but Michael couldn't help but admire the absolute beauty of his best friend.

He couldn't help but notice the passion in his eyes while he was telling Michael how sorry he was or how much he loved him. He loved the way his forhead creased when he frowned or the way his stupid spikey wheat colored hair bounced around as he moved. But most of all, Michael loved him, every single bit of him.

In the middle of Gavin's speech of apology and love, Michael got up from his chair and smirked.

"Shut up you fucking idiot." He said. Gavin was in a brief confusion but was cut off by Michael bringing Gavin's face closer and kissing him.

Suddenly all of Gavin's stress and worries melted away, all at cause of Michael's lips on his. Michael wrapped his arms around Gavin and kissed him again. He pulled away and planted a tiny kiss on Gavin's forehead.

"I love you so much, Gav."

Gavin smiled widely. "And I love you, Michael."

A sudden eruption of cheers sprung from outside. The duo stepped outside and were greeted by smiles and cheeres from around the office.

Michael looked at Gavin.

" Leeeeeet's go out."

It's been 3 years,Michael and Gavin are still together and they're better than ever.

All it took was seperation and a few letters to Gavin, to make the best thing ever possible.
