Kitten's P.O.V

"I'm just gonna go...milk my dogs," Nicoletta blurted before rushing up the stairs.

Amy glanced over at me but I ignored her slightly concerned frown. I had the attention drawn off of me for a quick moment by Nikki's unusual exit, but after everyone's laughter died down, all eyes were on me.

"I'm not feeling too well," I explained with a fake sorrowful smile adorned on my lips. I've practiced this excuse many times before, to use in emergencies like these.

"No. Stay," Jew ordered. He might've seemed whiny to the others, like he genuinely wanted me to stay; but I knew. I let fear course through me before forcing a convincing smile on my face.

"I really must be going. I don't feel good at all," I emphasized.

"I'm pretty sure this girl has a medicine cabinet somewhere," Mexican countered.

"Yeah. Stay with is," Celine seconded with a warm smile. But under that smile was an emotionless being who could only compute humour.

"I'm afraid my little master is feeling terribly ill and she is leaving. No argument," Amy deadpanned. I flashed her a small smile. Louis stood and walked over to hug me tightly.

"Call or text me," he requested softly. I sighed contently and told him I would keep in touch.

"Are you ready to depart, little master?" Amy questioned. I nodded slowly. She let me take the lead front door but opened it for me when we got there.

"You know you have to--"

"I know, Aimes," I interrupted as the door closed behind us. "That girl, Nicoletta, she is one to look out for," I muttered, mainly to myself.

"Why don't you just tell them?" Amy snapped. I glowered at her.

"Remember you place," I hissed lowly, balling my fists.

"I will when you learn where your place is," she retaliated in a calm and collected tone. I envied her but at the same time pitied her.

"Let's go home, little master," Amy suggested.

"Home," I muttered. "I need to find my home..."
