Chapter 12: Jealousy

STEVEN'S POV

After I cleaned myself and all, we went outside the condo. She gave me the address and I drove to her house.

She's still quiet and unbelievably shocked. I don't know what happened to her after I left her in bed.

"Are you okay?" I peeped at her while driving.

"..."

I can sense something is wrong with her.

I decided to park the car.

I looked at her carefully.

"Why did you stop the car?" she howled.

"Hey! Are you sure you're okay?"

"Just take me home!"

Woah! Why she suddenly acts morose?

"Oh-kay..."

I started the engine and drove the car.

When we arrived, she hurriedly went outside and ran.

"What's wrong?" I mumbled.

I went home absentmindedly.

We were still good this afternoon, and then now she's cold.

Ugh. I'm going to be crazy thinking of her.

9:00 am

I woke up and arranged my bedding.

It's Saturday and I decided to go to the mall. Nothing is special on this day.

When I'm done with all stuff, I headed outside and drove to the mall.

I planned to just roam around. When I'm passing Nat'l Bookstore, I remember the time I bought a diary for her.

I still have it and also the bear and a heart-shaped pillow.

I went inside the store and check if my favorite book is available. I'm lucky to see one.

I walked toward the counter. But before I get there, I saw a familiar face with someone going inside a store.

I hurriedly pay for my goods. After that, I went outside and follow them.

I saw them talking to each other while choosing what to buy.

I went closer to hear them.

"Ito na lang kaya."

"Ang pangit nyan! Di bagay sayo. Ito oh!"

"Eh, ang pangit ng design."

"Bahala ka. Pero mas pangit naman yan! Hehe."

They're close to each other. I saw him looking at her intently.

I got my temper higher. I walked outside and took my phone to call her.

I watched her as she hesitantly answered the phone.

"What?" she asked.

"I'm your boss, Ms. Dominguez." I reasoned.

I heard her take a breath before she continued to speak.

"What do you want, SIR?"

"Where are you... NOW?"

"Why should I tell you?"

"Because I said so!"

"You don't control my life and you're not my mother!"

I saw the guy comforting her which makes me mad.

"I'm your fvckin' boyfriend if you don't know. Now, where are you?" I huffed.

"H-Hey! Why are you mad?"

"God dammit! Just answer me!"

I saw her take the phone away from her ear.

I don't care if she will cry now. I just don't want her to hide something from me.

"I-I'm in the mall." she stuttered.

"Who's with you?" I said normally.

"My officemate."

"Who?"

"I don't think you know―"

"I said who?" I cut her off.

"Cheryl."

What? A guy with a feminine name?

"Are you sure?" I assured.

"Y-Yeah."

I hate mendacious. She'll pay for this.

"I hate it when you're lying to me. But I won't spoil your date. Just enjoy there!"

I hanged up and glared at her before going outside.

Never mess up with me. They don't know what I can do to their lives.
