I am lost. I don't know where to go.
My only thought: To find my brother.
I think he's in New York. I'm not sure. I'm going there anyway.
The last time I saw him was 30 years ago. I was 10 and he was 15.
*Flashback *
" What do you mean we have to leave?" I asked my big brother. We were in the boy's bedroom in the orphanage.
" I overheard the wardens talking. I couldn't hear what, but they are going to do something bad to us." he explained and pushed his wire rimed glasses up his nose.
" The wardens have been nothing but kind to us." I complained.
" I know what I heard, Hayley." he sighed.
" I'm not going with you." I said.
" Please Hayley." he begged.
" No you go by yourself." I huffed and walked away.
*End of Flashback *
The last time I saw him, we fought. I now know he was right.
A day after he left, the wardens experimented on me. Stabbed and poked me with sharp shots. I want to apologize to him.
