dear Arix,
i went job hunting today. it actually wasn't a waste of time, thank god. i found loads of places looking for help. i went into an ice cream place, a library, a plant place (i don't even know why) and a load of other places. i got the contacts of some of the places so i could keep track of them all.
i was beginning to wonder if i'd be able to find a business in this town that didn't have either an eccentric old lady or a young man who doesn't care running it as the boss. that is, until i stumbled upon this perfect little corner store. it sat at the end of my street, just five houses between it and my house. well, i walked in and up to the counter and said,
me: "hi, i'd like to apply for the job, please."
and who turned around with a smile on his face?
Oliver Porter.
