dear Arix,
today was so strange. you called me and begged me to come over, so through the hedges i trudged and knocked on your door and up the stairs. into your bedroom and on a chair beside your bed. your mom brought us apple slices, raisins and cheese - a snack we had shared years ago when we were kids.
the thing that hurt the most was that you acted like nothing had ever happened to our friendship.
