You were the one

(Authors Note: Hey fellow wattpadders!!! Anyways I wrote this poem because a song from one of my animes inspired me.

The song is the opening for the anime 'Clannad The After Story'. But it made me think what it would be like to have a friend like this.

I have had friends like this before, but usually these traits are mixed in all or most of my friends.

A few of those friends are here on wattpad, and I would like to dedicate this poem to them. ^^

You were all I had.

You were there through the pain and dread.

You always showed you cared.

You were always there when I was scared.

I never showed much appreciation.

But you still loved me without an explanation.

You were there for me no matter what.

You protected me when times got tough.

When I needed a shoulder to lean on.

You gave me yours and made me strong.

When all I wanted to do was frown.

You made me laugh, you were my clown.

No matter what I did or do.

You would support me all the way through.

You were one of my truest friends.

Its a friendship that can never end.

You were the one.

You were and are my song.

A melody I can not forget.

Someone I have loved since we met.

You are the friend everyone needs.

When people search for you they rarely succeed.

Out of all the people I could have chosen.

Im happy that you were the one.
